He has published articles covering subjects on improving operational efficiencies, business valuations, hedging techniques, cash flow management, strategic planning and mergers & acquisitions. Ralph Adams, is Service Manager for Parker Fuel, Ellicott City, MD. Ralph is the Exec V.P. of OESP and is the Education co-chair. He has been very active in his home chapter, Mid-Atlantic Chapter. Ralph is involved in the NORA Education Committee and NATE Technical Committee. He has worked closely on the new NORA Gold modules. Ralph Amadeo, Director of Client Services, has been with The Powderhorn Agency for 5 years as a salesman, on-site claims adjuster, inspector and emergency response person. Prior to his position with Powderhorn, Ralph spent 35 years in the oil industry, employed by J. W. Pierson Company including 21 years as Vice President of Operations. Ralph has been a member of NAOHSM/OESP, Garden State Chapter for over 30 years, currently serving on their Membership Committee. Jude Augusta, Head of Software Integrations with AVATAS, is a CNP professional with 15 years of experience in the payments industry. He helps protect highly technical organizations from threats associated with breaches, fraud-attempts, identification and removal of prohibited data, and other critical technical protocols. Jude is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and also teaches business and MBA students locally at Endicott College in Beverly, MA. Philip J. Baratz is President of Angus Energy which he co-founded in 1991 and the Managing Member of Angus Partners, LLC. Angus Energy began providing hedging services in 1991, and has grown steadily, with over 600 clients. He is a board member of several industry associations as well as several privately owned energy companies. He has been trading in futures and options since 1983 and exclusively energy related since 1991. His key focus is on product development and company oversight. Loren Beck is the Technical and Safety Trainer for Dealers LP Equipment, an Affiliate of the R.E. Michel Company. He regularly conducts training on propane topics including proper selection and installation of propane equipment, proper sizing of equipment, and propane safety. Loren works closely with state propane gas associations and conducts training at state association meetings and for customers and employees in the eastern half of the U.S. Dave Boyd has been an industry speaker on proper service procedures throughout the US, Canada and Australia, both in stationary ACR equipment as well as the AC automotive and refrigerated transport sectors. In 2005, Dave joined Appion as VP of sales and training for the company to introduce a new generation of twin cylinder recovery machine – the G5 Twin. He is also instrumental in the development and design of an entirely new generation of products which will enable AC/R service technicians to perform their jobs faster, easier, more economically and with greater accuracy. Charles J. Brand is a CPA and an attorney. He is a partner in the Newton, New Jersey law firm of Dolan & Dolan, P.A. He has over 20 years experience managing a family owned fuel and HVAC company, Hart & Iliff Fuel & Energy Systems. He developed The Hire- BetterNow Hiring System™ to solve an acute technician hiring problem in his own company. This program has been used by HVAC companies around the country to find, hire and train technicians and other employees too. He is a trustee and past president of the Fuel Merchants Association of New Jersey.
