Sprayable Sunscreen Cosmetic
U.S. Patent No. 10,426,714
Shiseido Co. Ltd.
Shiseido Co. Ltd., Tokyo, Japan, has patented a sprayable sunscreen cosmetic that contains substantially no ultraviolet (UV) ray
scattering agents that cause whiteness. It is transparent immediately after being applied/sprayed and has excellent UV ray protection,
as well as a good sensation. The UV ray protection is not reduced—and, in fact, the effects improve—when in contact with
water. The water-in-oil emulsified sunscreen cosmetic comprises: 6–40 mass % of a UV ray absorbing agent; an organically modified
clay mineral; an oil phase thickener other than the aforementioned; a silicone-based surfactant having a hydrophilic-lipophilic
balance (HLB) of less than eight; a spherical resin powder and a volatile silicone oil.
