For more information, visit imaacmexico.org India will face pressure to speed up its plans for cutting greenhouse gases used in aerosols, refrigerators and air conditioning. About 150 nations met in Rwanda, from Oct. 10-14, to try to agree a phase down of factory-made hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) gases. However, India wants a peak in poor nations’ rising emissions to be in 2031, to give industries time to adapt. More than 100 other nations including the U.S., the European Union and African states, favor a peak in 2021. Cosmoprof Asia 2016 introduced the new Innovation Circle Awards to recognize the most innovative packaging, design and formula in the beauty industry. Winners will be selected by an international panel of industry veterans and experts. The British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association (BAMA), which represents UK companies involved in the aerosol supply chain, has entered into a reciprocal agreement with the Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association of South Africa (AMA).Patrick Heskins, Chief Executive of BAMA (left), visited South Africa and delivered a presentation to AMA at its annual Gauteng Breakfast in September. BAMA’s new five year strategy has made it clear that the UK is open to working even more closely with overseas organizations both within and outside of Europe.
