Spray Patterns AVA CARIDAD Editorial Director At the recent NAA/WAIB joint conference, Larry Mitbo, IKI Manufacturing and former NAA President, announced the formation of an Aerosol Museum in Edgerton, WI. He explained it is time to preserve items for history and invited industry members to submit items for display. SPRAY is donating a mounted cover of the December 1970 issue of Aerosol Age featuring the latest aerosol gift offerings. This was the first 4-color cover published in the industry. According to market research firm Hexa Research, the global aerosol propellant market is expected to grow approximately 4% from 2016 to 2024; the overall market size in 2015 was approximately 10 million tons. Europe dominated market demand and is expected to continue its lead mainly on account of high usage of personal care products, which have been booming on account of increasing disposable income and awareness of personal hygiene. Wide applications in cosmetics and paints are expected to drive global product demand in the near future. The Kao Group Pink Ribbon Campaign 2016 will run for two months from Oct. 1–Nov. 30 to raise awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer. The global, Group-wide campaign is supported by personal care marketer Kao Corp., Kao Group Customer Marketing Co., Kanebo Cosmetics Inc., Kanebo Cosmetics Sales Inc., and overseas subsidiaries. The campaign period includes October, the official international Pink Ribbon Month. Since 2007, the Kao Group has held the Kao Group Pink Ribbon Campaign to communicate to more women the importance of early detection. The campaign is now going into its tenth year. 46 Spray November 2016 The Eastern Aerosol Association (EAA) sponsored a billboard at the Somerset Patriots Stadium in Bridgewater, NJ sporting an anti-inhalant abuse message from the Alliance for Consumer Education (ACE). The billboard is part of the EAA’s partnership with Minor League Baseball. LINDAL Group—which develops and manufactures valves, actuators and spray caps for aerosol products used in pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food applications—announced the formation of its Customer Technical Services (CTS) team, an elite unit dedicated to helping customers accelerate development of brand-building packaging solutions. LINDAL’s CTS is headed by Tony Harman, the company’s Managing Director/Sales Director. According to Harman, the unit’s rapid deployment capability and decades of industry expertise will give customers a competitive advantage by enhancing packaging quality and speeding commercialization.
