Formulated Solutions has named Ricardo (Rick)
Garcia as VP of Operations Excellence. Garcia has
more than 25 years of experience in manufacturing
support functions and has implemented a number
of safety, environmental, property loss prevention,
business continuity and incident management
programs with significant elements of Lean Manufacturing,
Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance
and Reliability Centered Maintenance & Project
Garcia
Management. He is also an ASQ-certified Six Sigma Black Belt as well
as a certified Project Management Professional.
Rolf Bayersdörfer, Corporate Director of Global
Product Development for styling products at
Henkel, was awarded the Rotheim Medal during
the European Aerosol Federation’s (FEA)
General Assembly on Oct. 3. The medal, which
has only been bestowed on a few recipients,
recognizes outstanding service to the aerosol sector
and the FEA. Bayersdörfer served as FEA’s
President for nine years and helped to guide the
industry’s sustainable and economic growth.

Beiersdorf AG’s Supervisory Board has appointed
Stefan De Loecker as Chairman of the Executive
Board effective Jan. 1, 2019. He will succeed Stefan
Heidenreich, who is stepping down on Dec. 31.
De Loecker has held several positions at Beiersdorf
since 2012, most recently serving as Head of the
Americas region and Deputy Chairman of the
Board. De Loecker began his career at Nestlé and
later served with Tesco plc and Tesco Slovakia.
BolognaFiere Cosmoprof has appointed Liza
Rapay North America Marketing Director. She
will run Cosmoprof Las Vegas (CPNA) in partnership
with the Professional Beauty Association.
She succeeds Daniela Ciocan. Rapay was
formerly North America Marketing Director for
Clinique, an Estée Lauder company, and prior
worked for Ballantine Books.
Vince Libercci has joined MicroCare Corp. as
Regional Sales Manager for the Eastern U.S. Libercci has more than
30 years of experience in account management and
territory sales, previously serving with Techni-Tool
for 19 years, and prior, Newark Electronics.
Ernesto Pollano has joined MicroCare Corp.
as Mexico Regional Sales Manager. He previously
served as a Territory Manager with Techni-Tool,
and prior, as a traffic analyst for Flextronics.
Marc Rey, President & CEO of Shiseido Americas,
was presented with the Cosmetic Executive Women’s
(CEW) first ever MEN-tor award in September, which highlights
the contributions of a male leader and his advancement of women in
the beauty industry. Rey helped to institute the SHE-seido Women’s
Leadership Network in the company’s Americas division in 2018.
Effective Jan. 1, the new President & CEO of Sun Chemical will be
Myron Petruch. Petruch has served as President of Sun Chemical
Performance Pigments and GM of the Pigments Products Division
since 2008. He succeeds Rudi Lenz who is transitioning to the new
role of Vice Chairman of the Board. In 2017, Petruch was named an
executive officer of DIC Corp., Sun Chemical’s parent company.
CPL Aromas has appointed Holly Cardinali as Business Development
Manager for its USA division. She previously served as R&D
Director for French Color & Fragrance, and prior, with Johnson &
Johnson, Firmenich and Unilever.
Monat Global has named Lela Russo as VP
of marketing. Russo hails from Young Living
Essential Oils, where she was a marketing
executive.
DSM has appointed Stephen Wood as Regional
Head of North America for Personal Care
& Aroma Ingredients. He hails from Lonza,
where he most recently served as Associate
Director of Sales in Hygiene & Preservation, and prior with BASF
and Honeywell. He succeeds Parand Salmassinia, who was named
Global VP of Commercial Management and Key Accounts at DSM.
International Flavors & Fragrances, Inc. (IFF) has named Francisco
Marano and Stephen Nicoll Master Perfumers. The designation
recognizes perfumers who have demonstrated consistent and
outstanding levels of creativity and craftsmanship in the art of
perfumery with exceptional leadership and impact on the industry.
Marano joined IFF in Brazil in 1978 after flavors and perfumery
work that began as a teenager. In 1986, Nicoll joined Bush Boake
Allen (BBA), transitioning to IFF when it acquired BBA in 2000.
Ron Stark has been named President and
CEO of Bell Flavors & Fragrances. He previously
served as VP of North America Sales at
Givaudan Flavors. Prior to joining Givaudan,
Stark also held executive roles with Tyson
Foods and The Coca-Cola Co.
Solvay has appointed Ilham Kadri as Chairman
of the Executive Committee, member of
the Board of Directors and CEO of the Group,
effective March 1, 2019. Kadri will join the
company on Jan. 1, and will transition into the
roles with the help of Jean-Pierre Clamadieu,
who will step down in March. Kadri is CEO &
President of Diversey. She has also held positions
at Shell-Basell, UCB-Cytec, Huntsman
and Dow Chemical in the U.S., Europe, the
Middle East and Asia.
Jim Krivda joined drom’s creative team as
VP, Senior Perfumer, based out of drom’s
fragrance design studio in New York City.
Krivda joins drom from Mane and brings 33
years of cross-category industry experience in
fine fragrance, personal care and air care. He
started his career at Firmenich and also spent
time at Fragrance Resources (acquired by IFF)
