has developed the Unidose Liquid
System for an undisclosed customer.
The device, which was recently
approved by the U.S. Food & Drug
Administration (FDA), delivers a
ready-to-use nasal rescue treatment
that is approved to treat acute repetitive
seizures for people with epilepsy.
Previously, Noble International
developed a trainer device in partnership
with the customer as part of a
patient on-boarding program for this
new drug product.
High Ridge Brands Co., the manufacturer of 13 brands
including Rave, Alberto V05 and LA Looks, and its subsidiaries
has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company
is in “active discussions” with potential buyers, according
to reports. High Ridge Brands currently has $500 million
in assets, at least $500 million in liabilities and about 140
employees. Benjamin Jones of Ankura Consulting Group
will serve as High Ridge Brands’ Chief Restructuring Officer.
High Ridge Brands’ UK business operations are not
included in the bankruptcy filing.

Galway, Ireland-based Aerogen, maker of aerosol drug delivery
devices, opened a new 27,000 sq ft engineering laboratory at Galway
Business Park in Dangan. After a €30 million ($33.6 million) loan
from the European Investment Bank to expand its manufacturing
facilities and R&D activities, the company added 50 jobs in 2019.
Aerogen plans to create an additional 80 jobs in 2020. Pictured L to

In the November issue of SPRAY, the reported number of aerosol
deodorants produced in The Netherlands in 2018 was incorrect. The
correct number is almost 4.25 million aerosol deodorants filled in
2018, according to the Dutch Aerosol Association (NAV).
International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) and SleepScore Labs have
partnered to develop a pillow spray to enhance sleep based on Sleep-
Score’s more than 6,500 nights of clinical sleep data. IFF said more
than 70% of the developed world is impacted by poor sleep, which
can have effects on health, weight and productivity.
For an undisclosed investment, Albéa has constructed and opened
a new plant in Huai’an, China. Operations will begin in 2020. The
Huai’an plant will manufacture, form, anondize and decorate metal
parts for Albéa’s cosmetic and skin care packaging. Officials said the
plant will expand Albéa’s injection, decoration and assembly capabilities
worldwide.

Sozio has launched a “Clean Fragrance” label with transparent and
natural fragrances that are pet-friendly, have not been tested on
animals or are animal-derived, are not from endangered plants, are
vegan and gluten-free and do not contain nanomaterials. “We are
ensuring that our Clean Fragrances are made without human or environmental
health risks,” such as parabens, sulfates and allergens, said
Sozio GM Frederic Braud. The label is based on restrictive requirements
that have been requested by customers such as no nitratebased
or polycyclic musks. The label also lists all the raw materials
used to make the fragrances.
For the third year in a row, Croda International Plc has been voted
as the most admired company in the British chemical sector by Management
Today magazine. Additionally, Croda was named sixth most
admired company in Britain. The awards were held in December
and were based on 12 categories such as quality of management,
products, services and leadership gauged from interviews with board
directors, analysts and city commentators.
