Hair fixatives including cellulose ether-based polyglucose polymers
U.S. Patent No. 10,016,352
Akzo Nobel Chemicals International B.V.
Akzo Nobel Chemicals International B.V., Arnhem, Netherlands, patented a hair fixative composition that includes at least one
carboxylated cellulose ether-based polyglucose polymer, an alcohol-based solvent system and a cosmetically acceptable additive,
wherein the polyglucose polymer is soluble in the alcohol-based solvent system. The polyglucose polymer is obtained by reacting
at least one cellulose ether with at least one anhydride. The hair fixative composition can be used in an aerosol hairspray or a
non-aerosol hairspray. Cosmetically acceptable additives include plasticizers, UV absorbers, dyes, perfumes, preservatives, viscosity
modifiers, vitamins, sunscreen actives, moisturizers, anti-itch or anti-dandruff ingredients and mixtures thereof.
Cleanser for skin and hair
U.S. Patent No. 9,725,676
Kao Corp.
Kao Corp., Tokyo, Japan, has patented a cleansing composition for skin or hair comprising an internal olefin sulfonate (A) having
12 or more and 24 or less carbon atoms, wherein a total content of an internal olefin sulfonate having 16 carbon atoms and an internal
olefin sulfonate having 18 carbon atoms in the internal olefin sulfonate (A) is 50% by mass or more; a mass content ratio of
the internal olefin sulfonate having 16 carbon atoms to the internal olefin sulfonate having 18 carbon atoms in the internal olefin
sulfonate (A) (internal olefin sulfonate having 16 carbon atoms/internal olefin sulfonate having 18 carbon atoms) is from 75/25
to 99/1; a content of an internal olefin sulfonate in which a sulfonate group is present at the C-2 position in the internal olefin
sulfonate (A) is 25% by mass or less; and a mass content ratio of a hydroxy form of the internal olefin sulfonate to an olefin form of
the internal olefin sulfonate in the internal olefin sulfonate (A) (hydroxy form/olefin form) is from 50/50 to 100/0.
