Global Aerosol Trends, innovations, regulatory challenges and collaborations
The size of the global aerosol market was estimated
at $68.76 billion in 2015 and is expected to witness
substantial growth over the next nine years
due to increasing penetration in application
industries including household, food & beverage
and automotive, according to market research firm Grand View
Research, Inc.
Propellants
The global aerosol propellant market was $7.26 billion in 2015
and is expected to expand over the next nine years due to the
development of propellant formulations with improved product
dispensing capabilities. In addition, increasing technological
developments of propellant combinations is expected to drive
demand.
Growing urbanization coupled with growing infrastructural
development, primarily in UAE, India and China, is expected
to drive the demand for paint, automotive, medical and food
aerosols, leading to the growth of the aerosol propellant market.
The demand for Dimethyl ether (DME)-based blends is also
expected to increase.
The demand for aerosol propellant gases such as nitrous
oxide and carbon dioxide is expected to witness high growth
on account of low environmental damage coupled with higher
stability.
According to Hexa Research, the global aerosol propellants
market size is projected to reach $11 billion by 2024. The development
of high-quality propellant formulations with enhanced
product dispensing capacities may drive this industry during the
forecast period (2016–2024). Widespread adoption of various
aerosol-based personal care and household products—mainly
observed in developing countries such as India and Thailand—
could also positively influence the market. Moreover, rising
technological developments resulting in the production of superior
propellant combinations may stimulate market demand.
Growth of the aerosol propellant market depends greatly on
the availability and cost of raw materials, such as crude oil and
natural gas.
Cans
A new report from ASDReports, Aerosol Packaging Market Report
2017–2027, indicates that the aerosol container market will see
over $3.1 billion in revenue in 2017.
The global metal aerosol can market size is expected to reach
$3.81 billion by 2024 (up from $2.82 billion in 2015), according
to a new report by Grand View Research. Growing demand
