Gerresheimer held a Grand Opening of its new plant in Skopje,
North Macedonia in October. Employing 400 workers, production
at the site is expected to start by mid-2020 and will comprise plastic
systems for the pharmaceutical and the medical technology industries,
such as inhalers and insulin pens. Investments in the 12,500sqm plant
and 7,500sqm clean rooms were not disclosed.
The Morris Museum, Morristown, NJ is presenting the art exhibit
“Aerosol: Graffiti/Street Art/New Jersey/Now” until March 15,
2020. New Jersey, uniquely positioned between Philadelphia and
New York City, the two historic centers of graffiti and street art,
plays a vital role in the ever-evolving aerosol art narrative, according
to museum representatives. The exhibition celebrates the vitality of
graffiti writing and street art in New Jersey today through the work
of 12 established and emergent artists, painted directly on the
museum’s walls.
Benjamin Moore revealed its Color of the Year 2020 as First Light 2102-70—a soft, rosy hue
“blooming with potential.” With a new decade on the horizon, First Light 2102-70 represents a
new dawn of idealism, design and living—a shift in mindset from the material to satisfying the
core needs in life: community, comfort, security, self-expression, authenticity and ultimately, optimism,
explained the paint manufacturer. Benjamin Moore also announced Color Trends 2020,
a curated palette of 10 harmonious hues “to guide us into the next 10 years and beyond.”

visited aluminum aerosol can
manufacturer Nussbaum, Matzingen,
Switzerland, to learn about aerosol
cans. After watching an entertaining
video about spray cans, the youngsters
visited production sites to learn
how an aerosol can is produced. The
tour also included a personalized can
decoration session for students.
S.C. Johnson & Son Inc. (SCJ) has
entered into an agreement
with Californiabased
sunscreen company
Coola to become its
major investor. Coola was
founded in 2000 with
a sunscreen comprised
of natural and organic
ingredients. Terms of the
investment were not disclosed;
it follows on the
heels of SCJ’s acquisition
of Sun Bum sun care
brand in June. Spray
Precise Packaging,
a PLZ Aeroscience
Corp. company, has
opened a new 15,000
sq ft production facility
in Fall River, MA.
Located less than one
mile from the company’s
headquarters,
the new facility has
increased capacity with an automated shrink bundler for aerosols,
two custom liquid filling lines and a new shrink sleever
for cans and jars. Precise Packaging has also hired two chemists,
a lab support technician, a sales/project engineer and a
customer service representative.
