America, UK and Thailand since joining the company in 1985.
Beiersdorf has appointed Asim Naseer to the
Executive Board as Chief Marketing Officer for
Consumer Brands effective Jan. 1. Since 1999,
Naseer has held various leadership positions for
Procter & Gamble, most recently in Singapore.
Ramon Mirt was elected to the Executive Board
to take over Near East and Americas regions
from new CEO Stefan De Loecker, effective
March 18. Mirt most recently served as Senior
VP Central & Eastern Europe for Reckitt
Benckiser. Ralph Gusko has resigned and management
of the Beiersdorf Group’s Consumer
Business Segment will now be overseen by a
newly established Executive Committee starting
in 2019. Aside from the Group Executive
Board, the committee will include the Global
Head of Research & Development, Dr. May
Shana’a, as well as the Global Head of Supply
Chain, Harald Emberger.
The Clorox Co. made changes to its executive
team, effective Jan. 7. Linda Rendle, formerly VP of Cleaning &
Strategy, will be promoted to Executive VP, Strategy & Operations.
Eric Reynolds will be promoted to Executive VP, Cleaning and Burt’s
Bees. He previously served as currently senior VP & Chief Marketing
Officer. Stacey Grier was appointed Senior VP & Chief Marketing Officer,
after serving as VP of Brand Engagement & Enhanced Wellness
Marketing. Kevin Jacobsen, formerly Senior VP & CFO, was promoted
to Executive VP & CFO. Kirsten Marriner was promoted to Executive
VP & Chief People Officer. Prior, Marriner served as Senior VP &
Chief People Officer. These changes follow the resignation of Executive
VP & COO Dawn Willoughby, who left the company on Jan. 4.
Kelly Dobos was named 2019 President of the
Society of Cosmetic Chemists. Dobos currently
works for Sun Chemical as Technical Manager
for Cosmetics in the Americas region. She
has served as a cosmetic chemist and research
scientist with companies such as Kao USA,
GOJO Industries, The Bonne Bell Co. and
Scot Laboratories.
Avon has appointed Gustavo Arnal as Executive VP & CFO, effective
Spring of 2019. Arnal has also joined Avon’s
Executive Committee. He most recently served as
Senior VP & CFO, International Divisions and
Global Functions, at Walgreens Boots Alliance
(WBA). He also served with Procter & Gamble
for 20 years.
Jamie Wilson, Avon’s current CFO, has resigned
to explore new business opportunities.
Angelika Shachman resigned as Chairperson of
the Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association of South Africa (AMA) in November.
The Executive Board has opted for a rotating Chairmanship to
run the AMA until the next Annual General Meeting on June 6, 2019.
Shiseido Co., Ltd. has appointed Marc Rey, current President &
CEO of Shiseido Americas, to the newly established post of Chief
Growth Officer on Jan. 1. Rey is tasked with overseeing the new Technology
Acceleration Hub and supervising global M&A in collaboration
with Japanese headquarters. He will also continue in his current
role as CEO of Shiseido Americas. Jim Mainard has been named
Head of Technology, Acceleration Hub. Mainard previously served
as Executive VP of Digital Strategy & New Business Development at
DreamWorks Animation. Ron Gee, CFO of Shiseido Americas, has
been promoted to Global M&A Leader.
Coty, Inc.’s CEO Camillo Pane has resigned due to family reasons.
Pierre Laubies was named CEO & Director. He hails from Dutch
coffee firm Jacobs Douwe Egberts where he served as CEO, and
prior as an executive at Mars, Inc. and Campbell Soup. Chairman
Bart Becht has also stepped aside but will remain on the Board. He
has been replaced as Chairman by Board member Peter Harf. The
Board has also appointed Erhard Schoewel as Lead Independent
Director.
L’Oréal has promoted Christophe Babule to Executive VP, CFO
and member of the Executive Committee starting mid-February. He
succeeds Christian Mulliez who will step down for personal reasons
in April 2019. Babule currently serves as Administration & Financial
Director of the Asia Pacific Zone. Cyril Chapuy has been appointed
President of L’Oréal Luxe and joined the Group’s Executive Committee
on Jan. 1. He succeeds Nicolas Hieronimus, who will transition
to Deputy CEO in charge of divisions on April 20. Chapuy most
recently served as Deputy GM of L’Oréal Luxe and oversaw international
brands.
At The Estée Lauder Cos., Amber Garrison has been promoted from
VP of Corporate Strategy to Senior VP, Global GM, Bumble and
bumble. Jean-Guillaume Trottier has expanded his responsibilities as
Global Brand President to include Darphin in addition to Jo Malone
London. Anne Troussicot has been appointed Senior VP, Global
GM, Darphin, after previously serving as VP, GM, Estée Lauder
and Origins, EMEA. All three have also joined Extended Executive
Leadership Team.
TricorBraun has appointed Declan McCarthy
as CFO and he is also part of the Executive
Leadership Team. McCarthy hails from PLZ
Aeroscience, where he served as CFO since
2016. He began his career at PepsiCo and
has held finance leadership roles at MSC
Industrial, Barnes, Phillips Pet Food and
TruckPro.
Dr. Bernd Metzner is set to become CFO of
Gerresheimer AG on July 1. Metzner has
served as CFO of Ströer SE & Co. KGaA since
2014, and prior, with the Döhler Group and
Bayer Group.
Diversey has hired new CEO Mark Burgess. Burgess
was previously CEO of Signode Industrial
Group, which was acquired by Crown Holdings.
Before Signode, Burgess was CEO of Graham
Packaging Co. and led an IPO in 2010 and its
sale to Reynolds Group Holdings in 2011.
