Robert Fell has been appointed as CEO & Director
of the Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association
(MPMA). He replaces William Boyd who has stepped
down as CEO after three years. Fell, who formerly
served as MPMA Council Member & Acting Chairman,
has re-joined the organization. Fell hails from
the British Metals Recycling Association, Ardagh
Group and Crown Corporate Technology.
The American Chemistry Council (ACC) has appointed
Christopher Jahn as President & CEO, effective
October 2019. Jahn currently serves as President
& CEO of The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) and will
succeed Cal Dooley, who is retiring. Previously, Jahn
served as President of the National Association of
Chemical Distributors, President of the Contract
Services Association and was Chief of Staff for U.S.
Senator Craig Thomas.
Felix Frowein has been named Senior VP, Body &
Home Care at Firmenich. Frowein has more than 20
years of fragrance industry experience with Firmenich
and has served in the U.S., Europe, Asia, India, the
Middle East and Africa. He will be based in Geneva.
Ultra Chemical has appointed Laura Szymczak as
Senior Director of Marketing. Szymczak previously
served as Head of Marketing, HPC, at Lonza.
French company Alban Muller International has
named Dr. Pascal Yvon, as GM of Alban Muller
USA, the U.S. branch of the company. Yvon previously
ran his own consulting firm after serving with a
life sciences company for 10 years.
Hallstar’s CFO Scott Hinkle has
been named President of Hallstar
Services, which comprises Hallstar’s
Treasury, Finance, Accounting, IT, Marketing
Communications, Corporate Development and Legal
teams. Hinkle will retain his CFO title and responsibilities.
He is also part of the
company’s senior leadership team.
Parlux Ltd., a division of Perfumania Holdings Inc.,
has appointed Lori Singer as President. Most recently,
Singer was Group VP Global Marketing for Coty Inc.
She is currently a member of the Board of Directors
of Cosmetic Executive Women.

Angela Stavrevska has been promoted to Global Marketing
& Brand Director. She replaces Francis Pickthall,
who passed away on March 1. Stavrevska held
roles in the marketing division before being named
Creative Director for the UK division. Most recently,
she served as a Perfumer at the company.

The Estée Lauder Cos. has promoted Sara Moss
to the new role of Vice Chairman. She previously
served as Executive VP & General Counsel. Before
joining The Estée Lauder Cos. in 2003, Moss was a
lawyer at a Wall Street law firm, a federal prosecutor
in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s
Office for the Southern District of New York and
served as General Counsel in the Fortune 500.
She recently established the Sara Moss Women’s
Leadership Training Program at NYU Law School.
L’Oréal has made several appointments to its Executive Committee,
including Alexandra Palt, Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer
& Executive VP of the Fondation L’Oréal; Vincent Boinay, GM for
Travel Retail Worldwide and Fabrice Megarbane, President of L’Oréal
China. Palt joined L’Oreal in 2012 as Chief Sustainability Officer
after leading her strategic consultancy firm specializing in sustainability.
Boinay joined L’Oréal Luxe in 1992. Megarbane joined L’Oréal’s
Professional Products Division in France in 2000 and has since
served in Lebanon, Africa Middle-East, Germany and China.
Sophie Hanrot has been appointed Coty Inc.’s
Chief Human Resources Officer and has joined the
Coty Executive Committee. She succeeds Sébastien
Froidefond, who held the position for four years.
Hanrot previously served as Senior VP of HR for
Coty’s Luxury Division and has also held roles at
Louis Vuitton, L’Oréal and at her own human
resources consultancy.

Formulated Solutions has promoted Charles Sweat
to the newly created role of I&D Principal Scientist.
In his new role, Sweat will focus on identification
of new materials, new methods development approaches,
investigations, mentoring and working
cross-functionally across the breadth of the technical
community. Sweat has a BS in Chemistry with
a concentration in Analytical Methods and first
joined Formulated Solutions as a Senior Chemist
in 2007.
Angelika Shachman, Quality Manager for Aerosol & Personal Care
at CTL Contracting (Pty) Ltd. was recently made an Honorary
Member of the Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association of South Africa
(AMA) at its Annual General Meeting. Shachman was an AMA
Executive Committee Member from 2011–2016.
Fragrance and flavor manufacturer Arylessence has
promoted Lori Parker to Senior Regulatory Affairs
Manager. Parker has been with the company since
1993 and most recently served as Regulatory Affairs
Manager.
