After cancelling in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the
National Aerosol Association (NAA) has announced the Aerosol
Summit has a new date: March 27–29, 2022. The global aerosol
event will once again be held at the Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown

Unilever has completed the unification of its group legal structure
under a single parent company, Unilever PLC, which gives it more
flexibility for strategic portfolio changes,
removes complexity and improves governance,
according to the company. Unilever
now trades with one market capitalization,
one class of shares and one global pool of
liquidity, while also maintaining the group’s
listings on the Amsterdam, London and
New York Stock Exchanges. Locations and
staffing remain the same.
TerraCycle’s circular shopping platform, Loop, is now available in
every zip code of the contiguous U.S. Loop also expanded to the UK
in July and now offers more than 80 brands, 400 products and has
more than 100,000 subscribers worldwide who shop for products
in durable packaging that is reused until the end of its lifetime from
companies such as Unilever and Soapply. In 2021, Loop will be
available in select Kroger stores in the U.S. and plans to expand to
Canada, Australia and Japan.
Health Canada has approved
Procter & Gamble’s Microban 24
Multi-Purpose Cleaner as effective
at killing SARS-CoV-2 (the virus
that causes COVID-19) in five
minutes. As required by Health
Canada, the cleaner was tested by a
third-party lab. It was also approved
to kill 99.9% of bacteria and viruses
that cause common colds and the
flu. Microban 24 Multi-Purpose
Cleaner is available in both Fresh
and Citrus scents.
Thyssenkrupp Rasselstein GmbH has received an extension from
the EU Commission to use chromium trioxide for tinplate through
Oct. 21, 2027 and for special chromium-coated steel through Dec. 31,
2028. The EU, through the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization
& Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) framework, has banned this
substance and is phasing it out of manufacturing processes. Thyssenkrupp
Rasselstein will replace the chromium-containing passivation
with rasselstein CFPA, a passivation based on titanium. For special
chromium-coated packaging steel (ECCS/TFS), thyssenkrupp will offer
Trivalent Chromium Coating Technology (TCCT), a new coating
technology based on chromium (III), which will be ready for production
