LINDAL Group has broken ground to construct a $25 million
facility in the Industrial Park in Jundiaí, São Paulo, Brazil. The
new 12,500 sq m building will have an extension option of around
5,000 sq m and replaces a smaller aerosol component factory in
the country. The first phase of construction will be completed by
the end of 2020 and will result in the hire of 130 people, LINDAL
said. Total construction is expected to last three years.

The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approved the first
generic version of ProAir HFA Inhalation Aerosol, comprised of albuterol
sulfate, to Perrigo Pharmaceutical Co. It is used to treat and/
or prevent bronchospasm in patients four years of age and older.
The FDA estimates more than 26 million have asthma, including 7
million children, in the U.S.
The biennial FEA Global Aerosol Events (FEAerosol2020) is set
for Sept. 23–24 at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa in Lisbon,
Portugal. Registration is now open. The “Aerosol Today” conference
is dedicated to global aerosol challenges, successes and trends, as
well as emerging markets, legislation, expertise and innovation. The
FEA Global Aerosol Awards Ceremony will be held in the Exhibition
Hall on Sept. 23. On Sept. 24, the “Food for Brains” session
will be held from 9:00–10:00 am to discuss topics such as the aerosol
can, cap fitting, corrosion, crimping and transport at tables every 15

Dan Renn passed away on Feb. 23. Before retiring, Renn was
employed as Sales Manager for Shield Packaging,
Regional Sales Manager for Bridgeview Aerosols
and Sales Manager for KIK/CCL. Renn was an
integral part of the Southern Aerosol Technical
Association (SATA), serving on various committees—
Membership, Communications, Nomination,
Industry Relations, Historical and Conference
Planning. He was instrumental in bringing
the Aerosol Can Races to the Gwinnett Braves, a
MiLB team in Georgia. In addition to several terms
as SATA VP, he served as President in 1988 and
again in 2009–2010. In 2012, Renn was presented with the SATA
Founders’ Award along with a Lifetime SATA Membership.

Sejla Repetti has been promoted to VP of Commercial
Development at Formulated Solutions. She will
develop partnerships with brand partners and initiate
projects for both new and existing customers. Repetti
has been with the company for more than a decade.
She previously served as Director,
Business Development & Pipeline
Management and Project Manager.
British aerosol filler LMA has hired Lisa Parkes as
Sales Development Manager. She formerly served
with James Briggs and U-POL and brings experience
in legislative and manufacturing support.
The Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA) has
reorganized its staff. Steve Bennett has been promoted to Senior
VP of Scientific & Regulatory Affairs. Nicholas Georges has been
promoted from Senior Director to VP of Scientific & International
Affairs. Cassy LaRussa has been promoted from VP of Meetings &
Conferences to Senior VP of Meetings & Strategic Development, a
newly created role. Former Senior Director of Communications &
Marketing Ryan Nau has been promoted to the new role of VP of
Marketing & Member Engagement. Allyson Azar has been promoted
from Manager to Director of Government Relations & Public Policy
for the West Region. Former Manager Alexandra Hayes has been promoted
to Director of Communications & Public Affairs for HCPA,
and Director of Communications & Program Development for the
Alliance for Consumer Education (ACE), HCPA’s foundation. Hannah
Alleman has been promoted from Senior Project Manager of
management program Ignite Solutions to Executive Director. Ignite
Solutions has also appointed Julia Brotton as Project Manager.
Additionally, Beth Ludwick, HCPA VP of Communications, has
received Certified Association Executive (CAE) credentials from the
American Society of Association Executives.
Coty Inc. has appointed Pierre Denis as its CEO, effective summer
2020. He will succeed Pierre Laubies. Denis is currently the CEO of
Jimmy Choo Group Ltd. and Board member. He previously served
with LVMH, John Galliano and Christian Dior. CFO Pierre-André
Térisse has been promoted to COO but will retain his CFO role.
