Lanxess Corp. named Antonis Papadourakis President & CEO, as well as Country Speaker for the NAFTA Region, effective July 1. Papadourakis has held the position of Regional Group President, Americas at polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) manufacturer Altuglas International, a subsidiary of Arkema, since 2012. Prior to that, he held several positions at Rohm & Haas. SPRAY People in the News Timothy Carlson was appointed CFO of Precision, effective immediately. Carlson was Executive VP, CFO and Treasurer of semiconductor materials producer ATMI (acquired by Entegris) prior to joining Precision. Prior CFO Albert Mariani will remain with the company in an advisory role. At the age of 70, John Conway informed the Board of Directors of Crown Holdings, Inc,. of his intention to retire from his role of CEO, effective January 1, ending his 40-year tenure with the company. The Board subsequently elected Timothy Donahue, a 25-year veteran of the company, to replace him as President & CEO. Donahue has served as President & COO. Prior to that, he spent eight years as Senior VP, Finance and five years as Executive VP & CFO. Donahue was also elected to serve on the Board of Directors. David Taylor will succeed A.G. Lafley as President & CEO of Procter & Gamble (P&G), effective Nov. 1. Taylor, current Group President of Global Beauty, Grooming & Healthcare, was also appointed to the company’s Board of Directors. He first joined P&G in 1980. Lafley will move to the position of Executive Chairman. WestRock Co. announced that Michael Wilson will be the first CEO of Ingevity, the new publicly-traded company that will result from a spin-off of WestRock’s specialty chemicals business early next year. Wilson previously served as Executive VP of Albemarle Corp., leading its performance chemicals unit. Wilson Shiseido Co., Ltd. announced the appointment of Marc Rey as President & CEO of Shiseido Americas. In addition, Rey will also have global brand responsibility for NARS Cosmetics and Bare Escentuals. He previously served as President of Coty USA. Heidi Manheimer, previous CEO of Shiseido Cosmetics America, announced her resignation after more than 15 years with the company. Shiseido also named Roxana Daver the company’s new Senior VP, Global Business Development & Coordination. Daver will assist President & CEO Masahiko Uotani in coordinating global business operations as the company implements its new “Vision 2020” long-term strategy. Elizabeth Arden, Inc., appointed JuE Wong to the position of President, Elizabeth Arden Brand. Wong previously served as CEO of StriVectin and Astral Brands, and has also held leadership positions at N.V. Perricone M.D. and Murad. Yifeng Liao joined Dow Corning Corp. as a senior application engineering and technical service professional for the company’s Molykote brand of specialty lubricants.
