Fifty years after original launch, Crazy Foam makes a comeback year. As for whether or September 2015 Spray 21 Making bath time fun again... For the first time in 20 years, a classic children’s brand is returning to the bathroom. From its launch in 1965, Crazy Foam spent nearly three decades bringing fun to the bath time routine in the form of beloved children’s characters—from The Smurfs and Popeye to Batman and The Incredible Hulk—before disappearing from store shelves in the mid-1990s. Now, fifty years after its introduction, Crazy Foam 3-in-1 body wash, shampoo and conditioner is back thanks to Massachusettsbased entrepreneur Josh Fink. “Playing with crazy foam in the tub is one of my fondest childhood memories,” said Fink, CEO of Crazy Foam International. “After the product went on hiatus, I did everything in my power to acquire the beloved brand and restore it to its former glory so a whole new generation of kids could experience the same sense of fun and wonder that I had growing up.” After reaching a licensing deal with Warner Brothers, Crazy Foam arrived in Kroger supermarkets across the country in May with cans featuring DC Comics characters Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and the Joker, as well as Looney Tunes and other Justice League characters. Additional lines of characters are on the way, including over 100 original characters called “Crazy Foamies.” The 7oz aerosol products, in cans supplied by Crown Aerosols North America, are dermatologist-tested, hypoallergenic, non-irritating and non-toxic, according to the manufacturer. The redesigned spray button is suitable for small hands. Crazy Foam International has plans to further expand distribution, making the products available through other retailers such as ShopRite, Walgreens and DrugStore.com later this not everyone’s favorite ornery sailor-man will once again grace the bath tub—we’ll just have to wait and see.
