April 2017 Spray 37 LINDAL Group announced the acquisition of 15 acres of land, which will be used to build a new, state-of-the-art, 100,000-square foot production facility in Columbus, IN. This expandable facility, slated for completion by the end of 2017, is a key component of LINDAL Group’s overall $20 million investment in the U.S. market, which also includes new equipment to increase capacity and expand its aerosol product portfolio. The Western Aerosol Information Bureau (WAIB) and the the Consumer Aerosol Products Council (CAPCO) have reported their branding effort is gathering strength and that they have signed a contract with branding firm Connector Branding to begin the process of “Finding Solutions” to promote the aerosol industry. Connector Brand began the “branding” process in March of this year. A Steering Committee of industry professionals is being formed to guide the branding efforts through the process. WAIB and CAPCO are doubling their fundraising efforts to fund the branding now and to sustain the brand once designed. More info: oktospray.com The South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) passed its 15 year air regulatory plan. Southern California’s air regulatory board chose to approve a plan that intends to collaborate with stakeholders to reduce emissions, rather than set heavy regulations. Several board members introduced amendments to the plan that emphasized the use of cleaner technologies, accelerated nitrogen oxide reductions, the elimination of the disputed Regional Clean Air Incentives Market (RECLAIM) program and stricter regulations on airports, ports, public fleets and warehouses.
