Lauder Volunteer of the Year Awards were recently given to employees during a ceremony at Estée Lauder global headquarters in New York City. In recognition of each honoree, a donation of $5,000 or the local equivalent will be made to the primary nonprofit organization that they support. (Pet, Home & Garden Division) and Soccer United Marketing, LLC announced an exclusive, multi-year agreement that will make the Cutter brand the official insect repellent of U.S. Soccer, including the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams, and the National Women’s Soccer League. The sponsorship includes advertising and promotional rights, field-level signage and in-market activities. Cutter branding made its debut at the U.S. Women’s National Team match against South Africa on July 9 in Chicago (pictured) and was present at the match against Costa Rica on July 22 in Kansas City. Edgewell said its sun and skin care net sales decreased $2 million, or 1.3%, in its fiscal third quarter, ended June 30. Excluding the impact of currency movements, organic net sales decreased $700,000, or 0.5%. Excluding an estimated $2 million negative impact from international go-tomarket changes, underlying net sales would have grown 40 basis points, driven primarily by growth in North America across both the Banana Boat and Hawaiian Tropic brands. Sun and skin care segment profit increased $8.5 million, or 33%, Edgewell indicated. SC Johnson recognized Ball Corp. as a top supplier at its 2nd Annual Top Supplier Award ceremony on June 30 in Chicago. The event celebrated organizations that contributed to SC Johnson’s growth and underscored its commitment to quality and innovation. Ball received the 2016 Quality Excellence Award for its “consistently high levels of experience and knowledge from a technical and business perspective.” SC Johnson also recognized Ball for significantly increasing can production to meet the growing demand for OFF! insect repellent and helping to combat the mosquito-borne illness epidemic in South America. Jim Peterson, Ball Food & Aerosol Packaging COO, and Luis Galardi, Argentina Tinplate General Manager, attended the event to accept the award. Revlon announced it will again host the Revlon LOVE IS ON Million Dollar Challenge on CrowdRise.com for a second year. In 2015, over 100 women’s health charities participated in the Challenge and raised $2.75 million. With Revlon donating an additional $1.425 million in prize money, total distribution reached $4.18 million. In an effort to help more women’s health causes, this year Revlon will award large cash donations, including a $1 million grand prize, to the top five organizations that raise the most donations over the course of the 6-week competition. Additionally, Revlon has opened up the Challenge to any charity dedicated to women’s or girls’ health and now welcomes charities from both the U.S. and Canada. The event runs from Sept. 14–Oct. 26.
