OBITUARY
Edward H. Green Jr., President of aerosol valve
manufacturer Newman-Green Inc., passed away on
Sept. 18 at the age of 71. He leaves behind his wife
Deborah, daughter Sara and son Edward H. Green
III, as well as three grandchildren. Newman-Green
stated that Green will be remembered as continuing
the pioneering spirit of his parents Ed and Jane
Green in the aerosol valve industry, which is now
in its third generation of the Green family.

Diversified CPC International, Inc. has appointed
David Burks as Executive VP. He brings more than
28 years of experience from Worthington Cylinder
Corp., most recently serving as Global Director,
Industrial & Cryogenic/Life Science Products.
The Aerosol Association of
Australia has named David Gurr
as President. Gurr is Supply Chain
Manager for Pax Australia. He joined the Association’s
Executive Committee in 2012 and most
recently served as VP. Retiring President, David
Cowper of Ensign Laboratories, will stay on as Immediate
Past President while John Tarrant, a GM for
Jamestrong Packaging, is the newly appointed VP.

Le Comité Français des Aérosols (CFA)
has named Jean René Blottiere as General
Delegate. He succeeds Xavier Camidebach,
who is retiring. Blottiere, who has represented
the Ball Group in the CFA, has also served as
CFA’s Board VP. In 1999, he was appointed
Sales Director of the Aerosols Division of the
Péchiney Group (CEBAL division) in the
UK, which became Aerocan and was then
acquired by Ball Group. Blottiere has been a
member of the statistical committee, administrator, VP and President
Blottiere
of the British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association (BAMA)
and member of the executive committee of the National Union of
Metal Box Manufacturers (SNFBM).
Azar
The Household & Commercial Products Association
(HCPA) has appointed Allyson Azar
as Manager of State Government Relations &
Public Policy for the West region. Azar comes to
HCPA from the American Chemistry Council,
where she managed advocacy activities,
stakeholder activities and political mobilization
efforts in the Mid-Atlantic States and monitored
legislation in the U.S. Azar also oversaw
the State American Alliance for Innovation, a
coalition of nearly 200 trade associations.
The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) has appointed Rachel
Collins as Director of Education & Outreach. For the past decade,
Collins has worked as a school leader, program administrator and
a teacher in Virginia with a focus on science and STEM initiatives.
Prior, Collins held positions with Kohl’s, Public Health Laboratories
and National Academy of Sciences.
Avon Products Inc. has appointed Dronacharya Chakraborty as
the new GM for India. He will report to Bill Rahn, Global VP.
Chakraborty has more than 20 years of experience in the personal
care and cosmetics industry and joins Avon from PM International
India Pvt Ltd., where he was GM of Sales.
The Estée Lauder Cos. has promoted Chris Good to Group
President, North America. Previously President of North America,
Good will remain a member of the company’s Executive Leadership
Team. Claudia Benshimol has been appointed Senior VP, GM, Estée
Lauder and AERIN Beauty, North America. She will also remain a
member of the company’s North America Leadership Team and the
Estée Lauder brand Global Leadership Team. Most recently, Benshimol
served as VP, Account Management, Estée Lauder and AERIN,
North America.
Additionally, Andrew Ross has been promoted to Executive VP,
Strategy & New Business Development. Ross joined the company
in September 2016 and had prior roles at ConAgra Foods, Inc.
and McKinsey & Co., Inc. Lisa Sequino was appointed Senior VP,
Global GM, BECCA. She most recently served as Senior VP, GM,
Estée Lauder and AERIN Beauty and previously held several leadership
roles at P&G.
Andreas Schütte will step down from the Management Board of
Gerresheimer AG on Feb. 28. Dietmar Siemssen will take his place,
having been also named CEO on Nov. 1. Spray
