The Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA) has
announced its mid-year meeting, IMPACT2021, will be a virtual
event and has moved from April to May. Now set for May 24–27,
the traditionally in-person meeting is now online due to continued
health and safety concerns regarding COVID-19, HCPA said. For

Aerosol drug delivery technology firm Aerogen has established a
new manufacturing site in Shannon, Ireland. The move will result
in the creation of over 90 new positions, according to the company.
Aerogen will occupy the former Molex facility; terms of the investment
were not revealed.
The Aerosol Association of Australia Inc. announced that
the planned “aerosol2020” Gala Dinner set for March will be
postponed until September. The dinner, which includes the
presentation of
the Australasian
Aerosol Industry
Awards, was
originally set for
April 2020, and
is now scheduled
for Sept. 16 due
to the COVID-19
pandemic, restrictions
on venue
capacity and
inter-State travel. The event will continue to be held at Pier One in

Coty Inc. rolled out plans to consolidate its fragrance manufacturing
operations and eventually close its Cologne, Germany site. The
shuttering of the facility will occur in stages and is expected to be
finalized by Summer 2022. The Cologne site currently employs
300 people and produces a range of fragrance products. Executives
noted the move will increase operating efficiency, address overcapacity
and help balance impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Colonial Chemical, Inc. has begun construction on Colonial
Chemical M.E. Arabia, a nine-acre specialty chemicals manufacturing
plant in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The new facility is the
result of a joint venture with Sadeem Investments and Earth’s
Reservoir for Oil & Gas (EROG). Terms of the investment were
not revealed. The site will produce locally manufactured specialty
surfactants and other chemicals.
MicroCare LLC’s Stereze Hand Sanitizer spray, gel and wipes
have received registration from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration
(FDA). Launched in November 2020, the hand sanitizers are
formulated using a high-purity alcohol and have been deemed safe
and compliant to clean hands. Stereze Hand Sanitizer is available as
a 4oz. pump spray, 8oz. pumped gel and in several wipe quantities.
Beauty packaging manufacturer Quadpack is expanding operations
in North America. Following its acquisition of East Hill
Industries in 2018, Quadpack is integrating East Hill into the
Quadpack brand, opening new sales offices in New York, Los
Angeles and Miami, and is launching a sourcing center in Mexico.
Terms of the investments were not revealed. Spray
LINDAL Group announced its KHFA valve has
been published as a product on China’s Centre for Drug
Evaluation (CDE) website, the country’s drugs, drug
marketing and clinical trial overseeing body that is
governed by the National Medical Product
Administration (NMPA). LINDAL’s KHFA
20 mm male metering valve is designed for
use with metered dose inhalers, made from
medical grade materials and delivers accurate
metered volumes of 28-63μl. The KHFA valve
features a fast fill and fast drain chamber that provides a
barrier to contamination and ensures long product shelf
life, LINDAL said. The listing allows the valve to be used
in new drug applications in China that require additional approvals.
