The Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA) has
welcomed five new members to its Board of Directors: David Burks
(Diversified CPC International, Inc.), Pankaj Gupta (The Dow
Chemical Co.), Diego Ruiz (SC Johnson), Catherine Trinkle (BASF
Corp.) and Scott Tuchinsky (Croda). Additionally, William Schalitz
(Spartan Chemical Co., Inc.) was elected HCPA’s 2021 Chair. Other
2021 HCPA Executive Officers include: First Vice Chair: Greg Adamson
(Givaudan Fragrances Corp.), Second Vice Chair: Lisa Pankiewicz
(The Clorox Co.), Treasurer: Rebecca Korwin (State Industrial
Products) and Immediate Past Chair: Jerry Porter (The Procter &
Gamble Co.).
The American Cleaning Institute’s (ACI) Board of Directors has
elected Wayne Ashton of IFF as Board Chair and Eric Reynolds
of The Clorox Co. as Vice Chair. They succeed Sundar Raman of
Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Scott Behrens of Stepan Co. as they
rotate off of the Board. Newly elected Members include Silke Hoppe
of Sasol Corp., Marcelo Lu of BASF Corp., Arnaud Melin of Novozymes,
Sean Moriarty of Stepan Co. and Luc Reynaert of P&G.
Reckitt Benckiser Group plc has tapped Nestlé
executive Filippo Catalano as Chief Information
& Digitization Officer and Executive Committee
member, effective April 1. Catalano formerly served
as SVP Chief Information Officer at Nestlé S.A.,
and previously, P&G.
The Estée Lauder Cos. (ELC) has appointed Dave
Smith as Senior VP, New Business Development
(NBD). Smith hails from Corning
Inc. where he served as head of Corporate
Venture Capital & Director of M&A. He replaces
Shana Randhava, who was tapped to lead ELC’s
New Incubation Ventures.
Effective May 1, Roberto Canevari will be
named Executive VP, Global Supply Chain. He
most recently served as Unilever plc’s Executive VP
of Supply Chain, and prior with Burberry Group
plc, Carrefour SA and Nestlé. He succeeds Gregory
Polcer, who is retiring on July 1.
Stéphane Delbos has been promoted to Chief Procurement Officer
(CPO) at Coty, Inc. Delbos joined Coty in 2010 as Global Sourcing
Director and most recently served as Senior VP for Transformation,
Indirect & Procurement Operations. He will also join Coty’s
Senior Leadership Team. Prior to Coty, Delbos hailed from Pfizer
and Ipsen.
Stan Platek, VP & GM of Ball Corp.’s Aerosol Packaging business,
will retire on March 15 after more than 24 years in the industry.
James Billings, current VP, Commercial for Ball’s Beverage Packaging,
North & Central America business since 2015, will
succeed Platek. He initially joined Ball’s marketing
department in 2006.
Yves Blouin has been named Executive Director
& Group Managing Director of the L’Occitane
Group. Most recently, Blouin served as Managing
Director of Chanel. He succeeds Sylvain Desjonquères,
who will serve on the Board of parent
company L’Occitane Groupe S.A.

KKR has tapped Annie Young-Scrivner as the new
CEO of Wella Co., which will comprise Coty’s
Professional & Retail Hair businesses and is 60%
owned by KKR and 40% owned by Coty. She hails
from GODIVA Chocolatier, where she served as
CEO. She has also held senior roles during her
30-year career with Starbucks Corp. and PepsiCo.
Young-Scrivner will also be a Member of Wella’s
Board of Directors. Current
President of Coty’s Professional
& Retail Hair businesses, Sylvie Moreau, retains
her role until the deal between KKR and Coty
closes.
Luc Brantjes has been appointed Sales Director
for Tata Steel’s Packaging sector. He most recently
served as Sales Director of the company’s Engineering
sector.
Matteo Magnani has been appointed Firmenich’s
Chief Consumer & Innovation Officer,
Global Perfumery. Magnani hails from P&G
where he served as Brand VP for Fabric Care
Europe, and prior, led Dolce&Gabbana Beauty,
formerly licensed to P&G. He will be based in
Geneva, Switzerland.
At Colonial Chemical, Inc., David Anderson, Jr.
has been promoted to President. He joined the company in 2009 as
Northeast Territory Manager and most recently served as VP of Sales
& Marketing. Prior to Colonial,
Anderson worked for Robert
Walters in Tokyo. Company

has assumed the role of Chairman.
He has served with the
company for 33 years, and
within the surfactant industry,
49 years. Andy Sun has been
promoted to Global Business
Development Director (including the Greater China area) & HI&I
Business Manager. He joined Colonial Chemical in 2016 as Business
Manager and previously hailed from Air Products. Daniel McCaul
has been promoted from U.S. Sales Manager to North American
Sales Director. He joined the company in 2018 and hailed from
Italmatch Chemicals/Compass Chemical International.

She previously
served as Chief
Growth Officer,
and prior, VP of
Sales. Richard
David, a Founding
Partner of Belle Aire Creations, has been appointed President by
the Board of Directors. Former President, CEO & Founding Partner
Don Conover Sr. passed away in June. Jeremy David was appointed
Executive VP, after previously serving as Director of Innovation &
