Joico wanted to illustrate just how heroic its newly-launched line of aerosol styling products
is…comic-book style! Guardians of the Glam—a graphic novel featuring “SuperSHEroes”—
stars “three energetic, vibrant, powerful women who have brand-new signature weapons to
keep their hair healthy, gorgeous and protected.” The new Joico lineup includes Humidity
Blocker Plus (featuring Lady Law, a defense lawyer), RiseUp Powder Spray (featuring
The Mighty Multitasker, a working mother) and Heat Hero Thermal Styling Protector
(featuring Win-Der Woman, a star athlete). Download the free coloring book at joico.

In May, Procter & Gamble brand Secret Deodorant and sports channel
Sportsnet teamed up to deliver exclusive TV and streaming coverage of the
Canadian leg of the Secret Dream Gap Tour. Marking a broadcast milestone
in Canada, the partnership showcased the superstars of the Professional Women’s
Hockey Players Association (PWHPA) across live game coverage, exclusive content
and cross-platform promotion. The Canadian leg of the Secret Dream Gap Tour
was held in Calgary and was further supported by the National Hockey League’s
(NHL) Calgary Flames, who stepped up to provide financial assistance, as well
as access to various organizational resources. This partnership with the Flames
was the PWHPA’s fifth NHL partnership this season.
Trivium Packaging, global supplier of metal packaging, has
been awarded three 2021 iF Design Awards in Packaging
Design for its design of recyclable and reusable aluminum bottle
packaging for Petal, Rainforest Artesian Water and Bubble
Tree products. The iF Design Awards focus not only on
outstanding design, but also on sustainability methods, recyclable
materials and reusability.
“As new, emerging companies, as
well as large organizations, increasingly

look to eco-friendly packaging,
we’re proud that our infinitely
recyclable solutions stand out as an
appealing, popular choice,” noted John Blum, VP
Quality & R&D, Americas for Trivium Packaging.
Trivium won for Petal’s Foaming Hand Soap, a zero-waste hand soap system.
Available in three sleek designs, the reusable bottles are made from 100%
recyclable, lightweight aluminum. The foaming pump is made from post-consumer
recycled plastics. Each bottle holds 8.5oz. of soap made of natural ingredients.
The Rainforest Artesian Water bottle was designed to help eliminate singleuse
plastics. It uses 25% recycled aluminum and can be re-closed, refilled and
100% recycled with no plastic components. A portion of every sale goes towards
reforestation. Eco-friendly and sustainable Bubble Tree Refillable Bubble
Solution uses aluminum bottles. In a category that has seen little innovation
in generations, said Trivium, the Bubble Tree system is the first to be manufactured
and sold in the U.S. The kit includes
a durable 100% recyclable bottle with an
ergonomic grip and cap with an attached
bubble wand to help keep hands clean. The
easy-to-use refill system allows children to
repeatedly fill their bottles on their own and
write their names on them.
