Henkel has appointed Steven Essick as President
of the North America region and Member of the
North America Leadership team. Essick, who is
a 23-year company veteran, will retain his former
role as Regional Head of Finance, as well. Additionally,
Nicolas Krauss was appointed Henkel’s
Global Head of Industrials & Electronics, as
well as Regional Head of Adhesive Technologies
Americas, and will join Essick on the North
America Leadership team.

Fisher will

Lisa Pauley has been appointed Executive VP and will retain her

King Kool has stepped down as Managing Director
of the Dutch Aerosol Association (NAV).
After more than 30 years in the aerosol trade
associations NAV and European Aerosol Federation
(FEA), Kool reached mandatory retirement
age on Jan. 1. He will continue to support NAV in
an advisory role.

appointed Christopher Finarelli as Director, State Government Relations
& Public Policy for the Western Region, based in Sacramento.

for Packaging (APEAL) has appointed Viliam
Gašpar, Director of Customer Technical Service
at U.S. Steel Košice, as the association’s new
President, a biennial term. Gašpar has more than
25 years of experience in R&D, customer technical
service and product innovation at U.S. Steel.
Theresa Orlanov has been appointed Managing
Director of Symrise South Africa. She replaces Rudy McLean, who is
also a former Chairman of the Aerosol Manufacturers Association of
South Africa.
Cosmetic Industry Buyers & Suppliers (CIBS) announced that past
President Mario Magali (Elite Packaging Corp.) has assumed the role
of 2021 President. The rest of the 2020 Executive Committee will

CARB
The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is still developing
amendments to its volatile organic compound (VOC) Consumer
Products regulation. The rule development is in it last phase.
Before Feb. 8, CARB staff will release its final draft proposal and

CARB Executive Board will vote to approve these amendments.
