Mergers & Acquisitions Edgewell Personal Care Co. announced it has acquired Bulldog Skincare Holdings Limited, a UKbased men’s grooming and skincare products company. The Estée Lauder Cos. Inc. announced it has signed an agreement to acquire BECCA Cosmetics. Coty Inc. said it would buy hairstyle appliance maker Ghd for about £420 million ($510 million) as the beauty company continues to grow through acquisitions. BASF signed an agreement with IMCD, international distributor of specialty chemicals, to manage its portfolio of personal care products in the hair, sun, skin and body care market. The product range includes UV filters, actives, hair colorants, stabilizers and surfactants. The agreement covers the Southeast territory of the U.S. International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Fragrance Resources. Bell Flavors & Fragrances acquired Sillage Aromatique, the fragrance division of Nardev Chemie Pte, Ltd in Singapore. Under the new name, Bell Flavors & Fragrances Singapore Pte, Ltd, it will continue to operate in the Singapore facility while retaining all Sillage Aromatique Fragrance employees. Hong Oan Khoe has agreed to continue as Managing Director. Puig announced its participation as a minority shareholder in Granado. The transaction is intended to support the growth of Granado in domestic and international markets. Berlin Packaging announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Italy-based Bruni Glass in a transaction that will expand Berlin’s premium glass portfolio, extend its footprint into European markets and push the combined company’s 2016 global sales past the $1.2 billion mark, according to the company. Once the transaction closes, Bruni’s team will operate as Bruni Glass, A Berlin Packaging Co., and will have access to Berlin’s full line of packaging solutions, service divisions, and its 100+ North American sales and warehouse locations. Skinvisible Inc., through its subsidiary Kintari Int. Inc., and EDFA Morgan Capital Co. LTD. located in Shenzhen, China, have signed an agreement for Kintari branded products for the territory of Greater China, including China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Green Biologics, Inc. announced a distribution agreement with Caldic B.V., a global distributor in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Caldic will distribute Green Biologics’ bio-based, high purity chemicals, including n-butanol, acetone and other associated products to customers in Europe, Africa and the Middle East for a variety of markets, including CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers), HI&I (household, industrial & institutional cleaners), PCI (personal care intermediates), food ingredients and energy chemicals. TerraVia announced that it has completed the sale of a majority interest in the Algenist skincare brand to Tengram Capital Partners, a private equity firm that focuses exclusively on consumer and retail companies. The transaction proceeds to TerraVia consisted of $20.2 million in cash and approximately 20% of the fully diluted equity of Algenist.
