Aerosol market in Mexico remains steady... Production increases in primary markets Mexican aerosol production saw a 4.5% increase in 2015 over the previous year, according to data from Instituto Mexicano Del Aerosol, A.C. (IMAAC), continuing a trend of growth over the past several years. Just fewer than 560 million units were produced in the country, an increase from the 530 million units produced in 2014. Insecticides led the way with 91 million units, up 16.37% from the year before, while Personal Care (334 million, up 2.77%) and Pharmaceuticals (6 million, up 4.53%) also saw growth. Household Care products made up for a slight drop in 2014 with an increase to 43 million units (11.11%) in 2015. Industrial products fell by 3.51% (22 million units) while Paints (40 million, down 6.2%) also saw a decrease from the year before. Additionally, Recreational products saw a decline in 2015 to 9 million units (-4.26%).
