Hand sanitizers
grow up fast
Products evolve quickly to become personal care essentials
and multi-person sprays…
Not long ago, hand sanitizer was deemed to be a very hohum
item. It was considered functional and helpful,
especially during traditional flu and cold seasons, or in
the summer when hiking and outdoor concerts necessitated
the use of public restrooms and portable toilets. However,
hand sanitizer was never reckoned to be terribly sexy.
Now, eight months into the global COVID-19 pandemic, in
North America, hand sanitizer containing 60% or more ethyl
alcohol (ethanol) is not only considered essential, but part of an everyday
personal care routine. As such, products are expanding to be
not just helpful at killing germs and viruses, but also nicely scented,
easy-to-use and loaded with skin care emollients and moisturizers.
