New Clorox spray defends against odors… Clorox Professional Products Co. introduced a new odor removal aerosol spray, bleach-free Clorox Odor Defense Spray, scientifically formulated to identify and capture odor-causing molecules. Using proprietary technology, it is proven to eliminate—not just mask—the toughest professional odors found in commercial settings, according to the company. Clorox Odor Defense products are designed for use on the toughest odors in potential problem areas of facilities such as bathrooms, shared office break room spaces, hotel rooms and waste-disposal rooms. The full line of products include Clorox Odor Defense Aerosol Spray (14 oz.), Clorox Odor Defense Air & Fabric Trigger Spray (32 oz.) and Gallon Refill (128 oz.), which can be used daily to control odor on soft surfaces and in the air. Additionally, the Clorox Odor Defense Timed Metered Aerosol Spray (6 oz.) is designed to remove recurring malodor in trouble areas such as restrooms. The can for the 14 oz aerosol product is from DS Containers. SPRAy Industry News New Avon LLC announced plans to relocate its NY, NY corporate headquarters from Midtown Manhattan to One Liberty Plaza, 165 Broadway, in Lower Manhattan. Henkel signed an agreement to acquire Nattura Laboratorios, S.A. de C.V., headquartered in Guadalajara, Mexico, and associated companies in the U.S., Colombia and Spain.Through the acquisition Henkel will further strengthen its Hair Professional business and expand its footprint in both the emerging and mature markets. Major Nattura Laboratorios brands are Pravana and Tec Italy. In the fiscal year 2016, the business generated sales of more than €100 million ($106 million). Additionally, Henkel has submitted a binding offer for the Darex Packaging Technologies business. Darex is based in Cambridge, MA and supplies highperformance sealants and coatings for the metal packaging industry around the world. BASF Group inaugurated its new Innovation Campus Asia Pacific, located in Mumbai, India. The project will involve a total expected investment of up to €50 million ($52 million) from BASF Group, and marks the Group’s largest research and development (R&D) investment in South Asia. All global research operations at BASF Innovation Campus Asia Pacific (Mumbai) will be housed under BASF Chemicals India Private Limited, a 100% subsidiary of BASF SE. Research will cover personal and home care, process development, organic synthesis and crop protection. ScentAir has acquired Brandaroma, a player in the fast-growing market for ambient scent marketing solutions. Brandaroma operates throughout Asia, particularly in Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China and Australia, as well as in the UK and the U.S. In the U.S., Brandaroma’s scent services are marketed under the AromaSys brand name. VariBlend introduced its new 20mm A/B MiniMix, an on-the-go size dispenser suitable for morning/evening and before/after type products. The dispenser’s compact dual chamber design incorporates a single, dual-port dispensing head.
