Aerosol industry coalition reaches out to CARB The aerosol industry is proactively working to engage with regulatory leadership prior to any future regulations by taking action to continue to build a relationship with CARB. The Consumer Specialty Products Association (CSPA), NAA and WAIB, with a common purpose of affecting change, is meeting with CARB members and staff to provide information about what the industry does and its positive impact on everyday lives. The goal is three-fold: education, communication and care. Each is crucial in creating and nurturing a culture that fosters engagement. Continuing these efforts, representatives of the CSPA, NAA and WAIB met CARB members Hector De La Torre On June 21, eight members of California Air Resources Board (CARB) staff toured the manufacturing plant of Shield Packaging of California, Inc. in Chino, CA. The tour consisted of a short Aerosol 101, plant tour and review of formulation preparation and qualification in the lab. This was the first tour of a manufacturing plant for several of the CARB staff, who appreciated the visit and asked questions, according to the National Aerosol Association (NAA) and the Western Aerosol Information Bureau (WAIB), whose representatives hosted the tour.
