Nelly Dubrulle from French company DNA Gensee has been
honored as the biannual 2018 International Federation of Societies
of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) Henry Maso
Award winner. She will be presented the award at
the 30th IFSCC Congress in Munich, Germany
in September 2018. The award was based on
Dubrulle’s research paper about using DNA
metabarcoding as a tool to trace plants of interest
in ingredients or cosmetics. Dubrulle is a Cell
Biology & Fluorescence Imaging Engineer at
DNA Gensee.
TricorBraun appointed Becky Giessel Senior VP,
HR and Chief People Officer. She most recently
served with Medline Industries.
Amy Bonder was named executive VP,
Strategic Markets. Previously, Bonder was VP of
Strategy & Sales at Bridgestone. She also served
with Advance Auto, Stanley Black & Decker
and Grainger.

The Supervisory Board of
Symrise AG approved an early five-year contract
extension for CFO Olaf Klinger. Klinger will
continue to manage the finances of Symrise until
January 2024. As a member of the Executive
Board, Klinger has headed Symrise’s finance
department since January 2016.
Olivier Cresp, Master Perfumer at Firmenich
Inc., is this year’s recipient of The Fragrance
Foundation’s Lifetime Achievement Award and will be honored at
an awards gala in June. Cresp began his career
with Firmenich in 1992 and was named Master
Perfumer in 2006. He was previously honored
with the title Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres
from the French Minister of Culture in 2012 and
was recognized as France’s Perfumer of the Year
in 2007. His body of work includes Fragrance
Hall of Fame Awards for Angel by Thierry Mugler
and Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue as well as
Prestige Fragrance of the Year 2017 for Yves Saint
Laurent Mon Paris.
Givaudan announced that Chris Thoen, Head of Global Science &
Technology, has decided to retire at the end of August. He will step
down from the Executive Committee at the end of May. Programs
under Thoen’s responsibility will be managed by respective divisional
science and technology organizations within the Flavors and
Fragrances division. Thoen retires after a 32-year global career in research
and development, notably in various senior positions at P&G.
He joined Givaudan as Head of Science & Technology for Flavors in
2011, and was appointed Head of Global Science & Technology and
a member of the Executive Committee in 2015.
Sussex IM has named Kyle Kopp VP of Manufacturing, responsible
for all strategic planning for manufacturing including maintenance,
secondary equipment, planning and team scheduling. His additional
charter is to improve processes and procedures to enhance productivity
and communication, and to provide manufacturing advice,

The French Aerosol Committee (CFA) has announced that Xavier
Camidebach will be stepping down as CFA VP/General Delegate as
of Aug. 1, 2018. To replace him, the CFA Executive Committee has
appointed Jean Blottiere of Ball Corp. to the position. As a member
of the British Aerosol Manufacturers Association (BAMA) Executive
Committee and the French National Union of Box Manufacturers,
Packaging & Metal Closures (SNFBM) Board of Directors,
Blottiere is well-versed in professional advocacy agencies and has
extensive knowledge of CFA’s subject matters and members’ expectations,
according to the organization.
Daniel Wright has been appointed CEO of
Aerofil Technology, Inc., an HBM Holdings
company. Wright previously served as President
& COO of Aerofil Technology, and before that,
VP of HBM’s corporate development. Wright
will succeed Aerofil’s co-founder Bob Dunaway
who is retiring after nearly 30 years. Wright also
has management experience with companies
such as Mars, Mastercard and Israeli Chemicals.
Tekni-Plex has promoted John Seifert to CEO.
Previously, Seifert was the VP of Finance and
replaces Glenn Fish, who was recently promoted
to COO. Prior to Tekni-Plex, Seifert held various
senior roles in both private and public companies
including Reading Entertainment Inc., Infra-
Source Inc. and Taurus Aerospace.
Procter & Gamble (P&G) India has appointed
Madhusudan Gopalan as CEO & Managing Director, effective April
1. Gopalan has 18 years of experience with P&G and previously led
the P&G business in Indonesia. He replaces Al Rajwani, who will
retire at the end of the financial year after 37 years at P&G.
Paula Sneed has been elected by the Berry Global Group’s shareowners
to its Board of Directors. Sneed is Chair and CEO of Phelps
Prescott Group LLC, a strategy and management consultancy she
co-founded in 2007 after retiring from a 29-year career at General
Foods/Kraft Foods where she held a variety of marketing, general
management and senior executive roles.
Estée Lauder has named April Anslinger Senior VP/GM, Aveda—
North America. She will be responsible for optimizing growth
potential and overseeing North American marketing, digital marketing,
social media, retail, field sales and education. Prior to joining
Estée Lauder, Anslinger had positions at Schwan Food Co. as Chief
Growth Officer and at Procter & Gamble as Herbal Essences Global
Brand Leader.
Estée Lauder also appointed Andrea Dorigo as Senior VP, GM,
Global Retail. He previously served as CEO of appliance maker
Pirch, Inc. His other previous positions included President of Oakley,
Inc. and President of North America at Brooks Brothers.
Rod Little was named CFO of Edgewell Personal Care Co.. Based
in the company’s Shelton, CT location, he will report to David
Hatfield, CEO, President & Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Little previously held CFO positions at HSN Inc. and Elizabeth
Arden Inc., where he was also EVP, and Procter & Gamble’s
Global Salon Professional Division.
