Revlon, Inc.’s Board of Directors has tapped Sergio Pedreiro as COO
to help transform and restructure the company’s business operations.
Previous to Revlon, Pedreiro served as CEO of Brazil-based Estre
Ambiental S.A., and prior as CFO at Coty Inc.
Procter & Gamble’s (P&G) Robert Bartolo, who
currently serves as Director of Global Product
Stewardship, is the 2020 recipient of the American
Cleaning Institute’s (ACI) Elva Walker Spillane
Distinguished Service Award. Bartolo has held leadership
roles at P&G since 1988, including regulatory
affairs, environmental safety, microbiology, product
safety and statistics. At ACI, he served as Vice Chair
of the Strategic Advisory Committee (SAC) in 2013
and then Chair of the Committee 2013–2017, and recently helped
develop ACI’s 2020-2022 strategic plan. Bartolo has also authored
many journal articles and received 19 patents for fabric treatments,
antimicrobial products and personal cleansing products.
The Estée Lauder Cos. Inc. (ELC) has promoted Justin Boxford
from La Mer’s Global GM to Global Brand President. Philippe
Pinatel has been promoted to Global Brand President, M•A•C
Cosmetics. He formerly served as Senior VP and Global GM of
M•A•C Cosmetics and held prior roles with Sephora Canada and
Sephora Inside JCPenney. Deborah Royer has been promoted to
Global Brand President & Chief Creative Officer of Le Labo. Prior,

After serving as Senior VP of Asia/Pacific, Christopher Wood was
named President, North Asia (Japan and Korea), Dr. Jart+ and Do
The Right Thing.
Amanda Jones has joined Henkel as Senior VP of
Sales, Laundry & Home Care, USA. Most recently,
Jones served as GM, Walmart and Club at Hershey.
She also held previous roles with Johnson &
Johnson, Pepsi and General Mills.
Coty Inc. has appointed Kristin Blazewicz as Chief
Legal Officer, General Counsel & Secretary of the
Board of Directors, as well as a member of Coty’s
Jones
Executive Committee. These positions will be effective March 15.
Blazewicz has served for seven years as VP, Assistant General Counsel
at Keurig Dr Pepper Inc.
Bartolo
Silgan has acquired Cobra Plastics, Inc., a manufacturer of aerosol
overcaps and injection molded plastic closures. Terms of the deal
were not disclosed. The merger will boost Silgan’s offerings and
help expand the company into new markets, according to the company.
Cobra had sales of approximately $30 million in 2019 and
has two manufacturing facilities in Ohio.
In other news, Silgan Holdings Inc. is buying Albéa’s dispensing
business, which includes highly engineered pumps, sprayers and
foam dispensing solutions, for $900 million. The acquisition includes
a global network of 10 plants across North America, Europe,
South America and Asia. The deal is expected to close in the first
half of 2020.
Colgate-Palmolive Co. acquired oral care company Hello Products
LLC. Owned by Tenth Avenue Holdings, New York, NY, terms of
the sale were not disclosed. Hello Products will continue to be led
by Founder Craig Dubitsky and CEO Lauri Kien Kotcher. The deal
closed at the end of February.
The Robertet Group has acquired a majority stake in Paris, Francebased
Sirius, an organic essential oils manufacturer, formulator,
filler and packager that was founded in 1996 by Gilles Berthoumieux.
Terms of the deal were not revealed. Sirius will operate autonomously
and will continue to be managed by Berthoumieux.
Stop the Water While Using Me! was purchased by Beiersdorf
in February for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition will bolster
Beiersdorf’s sustainable skin care offerings, commitment to climate
and resource protection and the development of joint sustainability
initiatives and solutions, said the company. Stop the Water While
Using Me! offers biodegradable skin care products in refillable
systems and promotes responsible water usage.
Maroon Group has been appointed as Colonial Chemical,
Inc.’s distributor of specialty products, such as surfactants, in the
personal care market in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New
Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Eastern Pennsylvania, Rhode
Island and Vermont. Financial terms of the agreement were not
revealed.
Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting is purchasing Canway Corp.,
Durban, South Africa, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition
will expand Wipro’s footprint in South Africa and includes the Oh
So Heavenly, Iwori and IQ personal care brands. This was Wipro’s
second acquisition in 2019 following the purchase of Philippinesbased
Splash Corp. in April.
