HCT Group
HCT’s Forward Pump is available with a polypropylene (PP)
tip or the Cooling Tip Technology zamac applicator. The
15mL package can house eye and skin care formulas. The
product is dispensed by pressing forward and then smoothed
onto the skin with one of HCT’s two patented applicators.
Silgan Dispensing
Silgan Dispensing launched a family of PCR products featuring
closures and dispensing solutions such as pumps, fine
mist sprayers and trigger sprays made from post-consumer
recycled (PCR) plastic. The PCR portfolio uses up to 98%
PCR based on raw PCR, pre-colored raw PCR and “foodgrade”
PCR. Silgan Dispensing is also partnering with the
Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR), a national trade organization
focused on expanding the post-consumer plastics
recycling industry in North America through cooperation
and eliminating barriers to successful commercial recycling.
Thirty-seven percent of Millennials check packaging labels
for sustainability and 52% of consumers are willing to pay
upwards of 10% more for products with sustainable packaging,
Silgan said.
Albéa
As part of Albéa’s initiative to embrace a circular economy
and provide an eco-design approach, the company launched
a Bioplastic (PE) foam bottle and tube created from Brazilian
sugar cane. Using bio-based ingredients, Albéa’s PE
foam bottle’s carbon footprint is reduced 47% compared to
a regular 150mL bottle, according to an internal study completed
by Albéa in 2018. Bioplastic is also fully recyclable
through existing collection channels. The foam bottle is
available in a 150mL size with Ø43 mm diameter.
