the skin. It also readily dissolves oils on the skin due to improved
solvency with oils. Cleansing formulations can be formulated for
skin and hair in rinse-off applications. In the case of leave-on applications,
it delivers better dispersion of oils/activates to skin and
hair, providing long-lasting rejuvenating effects.
Improved drying time
To demonstrate the quick-drying benefit of Solstice Enhance, we
ran an experiment to compare drying time of a typical dry shampoo
formulation with only ethanol as a solvent vs. a 50:50 blend of
ethanol solvent and Solstice Enhance. We also switched propellants
each time to learn about the impact of a different propellant
on the 50:50 blend. We found that irrespective of the propellant
used, the drying time was significantly reduced by at least 73%
in the formulation with the 50:50 blend of ethanol and Solstice
Enhance.
Delayed post-foaming effect
Formulations for skin care applications such as cooling gels and
self-foaming cleansers showed delayed foaming when created with
Solstice Enhance instead of Iso-pentane. This can contribute to
foaming formulations where the product is dispensed as a gel/
lotion that carries viscous, “good-for-you” ingredients. It can then
start foaming slowly upon application. Other product ideas of similar
transformational textures are bubbling skin masks, distinctive
shampoo/conditioner forms and tightening skin gels.
The next generation of personal
