WD-40 Co. has hired Faye Ericka Ramirez as a
Scientist in the Americas R&D group. Ramirez
hails from Infineum USA LP where she served
as a Customer Technical Specialist, and prior,
with American Spraytech. Tom Williams has also
joined WD-40 as Associate Scientist. He comes
with lab experience directly related to tribology
and lubricant testing.
L’Oréal USA has appointed Nathalie Gerschtein
as President of its Consumer Products Division
starting March 1. She will oversee consumer
brands in the U.S. Gerschtein formerly served as
President of the Maybelline, Garnier and Essie
brands and Alanna McDonald will succeed her
in this position. McDonald was President of the
Consumer Products Division for L’Oréal Canada.
Previously, Gerschtein held marketing and management
roles for L’Oréal in Thailand, India and France.

Perry Cozzone has joined CRC Industries, Inc. as
Global CEO. Cozzone was formerly the President
of the Americas for pharmaceutical product developer
Colorcon.
The French Aerosol Committee (CFA) has named
Claude-Bernard Michelot of Soppec as President
and Nathalie Thys of GSK as VP. They will have
three-year terms. Gilles Baudin of L’Oréal previously
served as President for eight years. Former CFA VP Véronique
Curulla of Crown has stepped down.

Cozzone
Edward H. Thaete III passed away on Feb. 5, 2019 at age 95.
Thaete began in the industry in 1966 selling industrial alcohol
for Publicker Chemical. In 1980, he brought the alcohol
business he had established to Remet Corp. in La Mirada, CA
and worked there until his retirement in 2000. According to
the Western Aerosol Information Bureau (WAIB), Thaete
“was a tremendous advocate for WAIB and we honor his legacy
as a great man, true friend and industry leader.” Thaete was
predeceased by his wife Geraldine and is survived by his nine
children, 25 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

on the Priority Product Notification, First Stage and Second
Stage AA Process, options to AA reports, AA extensions,
trade secret protection and resources available for entities when
