Board member Paul Meister will assume the role of Executive
Vice Chairman on an interim basis. He has served on Revlon’s
board since 2016 and is currently President of MacAndrews &
Forbes, the holding company through which billionaire Ronald
Perelman owns an 85% stake in Revlon.
Alan Rex, Managing Director at Precision Valve South Africa
(PVSA), is retiring to Australia. He will be replaced by General
Manager Robin Rigney.
International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. has
named Dominique Ropion Master Perfumer. He
is the second perfumer IFF has recognized with
this title, which was established in 2013.
Eurofragance appointed Laurent
Mercier as the company’s
GM & CEO. He will also
become a member of the Board of Directors.
Mercier replaces Founding Partner & CEO
Santiago Sabatés, who has led the company since
it was created in 1990. Sabatés is now President
of Eurofragance.
Global specialty chemical company Hallstar announced
the promotion of Damian Marshall and Varun Mathur
to VPs. Marshall and Mathur have 25 years of Hallstar experience
between them, and have both served in GM roles since 2016.
Clariant announced that Judith van Vliet, a
designer at its ColorWorks design and technology
center in Merate, Italy, has been appointed
President of the Color Marketing Group, a
not-for-profit, international association of color
design professionals. Van Vliet previously served
as the group’s VP of Communications & Public
Relations.
Oat Cosmetics announced the appointment of Tim Fielder as
Chairman & Head of Product Development following Nigel
Freer’s retirement.
Additionally, Cara Dewis has been appointed to the newly
created Head of Product Development position; she joined Oat
Cosmetics in 2012.
Cornelius Group Plc, a European distributor and manufacturer of
specialty chemicals, ingredients and raw materials for the performance
chemicals, personal care and health and nutrition markets,
announced the appointment of Phillip Gibbons as new Group
Finance Director.
Royal DSM announced that Gareth Barker has been appointed
President, DSM Personal Care & Aroma Ingredients. He joined
Roche/DSM in 1993and until 2012 held a variety of commercial
and marketing positions in Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore
and Costa Rica. Since 2012 he has been VP of Human Nutrition
& Health EMEA. Barker succeeds Wilfrid Gambade, who was
promoted to the position of President DSM Dyneema.

Avon Products, Inc. announced that Jan
Zijderveld has been appointed CEO, effective
immediately. He succeeds Sheri McCoy, who
previously announced her intention to retire
from the Company and Board. He will also
serve as a member of the Board of Directors.
Zijderveld joins Avon from Unilever N.V./
PLC, where he most recently served as a member
of Unilever’s Executive Committee and as
President of Unilever’s $14 billion European
business. Prior to that, he was CEO of Unilever, Middle East &
North Africa.
On Jan. 30, Leopold Werdich, Managing
Director of Tubex Holding, was elected
President of the International Organization of
Aluminum Aerosol Container Manufacturers
(AEROBAL). He succeeds Eric Frantz of CCL
Container.
Ernie Rosenberg, who served as the American
Cleaning Institute’s (ACI) President &
CEO for 17 years, is the recipient of the ACI
Chairman’s Award, recognizing his outstanding
leadership of the association for the cleaning product supply
chain. Joining what was then known as The Soap & Detergent
Association (SDA) in 1999, Rosenberg shepherded SDA’s move
from New York City to Washington, D.C. in
2000. During his tenure, the association became
one of the first industry organizations to develop
a core set of sustainability principles, programs
and public reports. Under Rosenberg’s leadership,
SDA transformed into ACI, a name which
better reflected the marketplace it represents,
the cleaning product supply chain that comprises
ACI’s membership base, and the fundamental
scientific and technical expertise that informs
its policies, advocacy and outreach, said ACI.
Additionally, ACI welcomed Ann Cothran in
the newly created position of Senior Manager,
Membership. She joins ACI after more than
nine years at the U.S. Travel Association, where
she served as Manager, Member Services. Prior
to that, she served in membership and marketing
roles at the National Housing Conference,
Association Management Group and Prudential
Carruthers Realtors. As well, Jacob Cassady
was promoted to Director, Government Affairs.
Edgar Chavez was promoted to Senior Accounting Manager.
Darci Ferrer was promoted to Senior Manager, Environmental
Sciences, while Wanda Stokes was promoted to
Senior Director, Human Resources & Administration.
Revlon Inc. announced that CEO Fabian
Garcia was stepping down to pursue other opportunities
only two years after taking the helm
of the cosmetics company. Garcia was hired
from Colgate-Palmolive in April 2016 to “turn
