People in the News Contini Bouan Atadia Grande Stanton Usumi March 2017 Spray 45 Precision Global announced that Claudio Contini has been appointed Vice Chairman of Precision Global’s Board of Directors. Contini brings over 25 years of packaging experience to Precision. He previously served as Group CEO of Coster Group. Additionally, the company announced that Thierry Bouan has been appointed Regional Manager of Asia Pacific, including Thailand, Australia, China, Japan and South Africa. Bouan will be based in Precision Global’s Bangkok, Thailand facility and report to CEO Mario Barbero. Precision also announced that Omar Atadia has been appointed Regional Manager of Latin America. Atadia will be based in Precision Global’s Sao Paolo, Brazil facility and also report to Barbero. CROWN Holdings, Inc. announced that Gerard Gifford has been appointed Executive VP and COO, effective April 1. Gifford will continue to report to Timothy Donahue, President & CEO, and will be responsible for the Americas and European Divisions. Gifford will also assume responsibility for CMB Engineering, which is the company’s can manufacturing equipment business, as well as corporate project management and engineering. Currently, Gifford serves as President, CROWN Europe. On April 1, Didier Sourisseau, who is currently Senior VP Food Europe, will be promoted to President, CROWN Europe. The Board of Directors of Berry Plastics Group, Inc. announced it has unanimously elected Thomas Salmon as the company’s CEO and appointed him to the Board of Directors. Salmon, who most recently served as the company’s President & COO, succeeds CEO Jonathan Rich who previously announced plans for retirement. Rich will continue as the Executive Chairman of Berry’s Board. L’Oréal USA announced that Pat Parenty will retire from his role as President of Professional Products Division (PPD) U.S. and David Greenberg has been appointed to Group President of PPD U.S. & North America. Ikdeep Singh has been appointed the new Brand President of Maybelline-Garnier-Essie and Tim Coolican has been named Brand President of L’Oréal Paris. Sarah Hibberson has left her role as Senior VP of Human Resources and Stephane Charbonnier has been promoted to Senior VP of Human Resources & Chief Human Resources Officer, L’Oréal USA. The American Cleaning Institute (ACI), the trade association for the cleaning products supply chain, announced new staff promotions. Melissa Grande, Senior Manager, Sustainability Initiatives, was promoted to Associate Director, Sustainability Initiatives. Kathleen Stanton, Director, Technical & Regulatory Affairs, was promoted to Senior Director, Technical & Regulatory Affairs. Ugur Usumi, Director, Information Technology, was promoted to Senior Director, Information Technology. TricorBraun Design & Engineering Group announced the promotion of Gregg Aukeman to Package Qualification Manager and the expansion of the packaging quality team with the hiring of Ryan Fichuk as Packaging Quality Engineer. Shiseido Company, Limited appointed Kentaro Fujiwara to the position of President, Shiseido China. Fujiwara will lead Shiseido China Co., Ltd. as China regional headquarters and will manage it along with other major business units including Shiseido Liyuan Cosmetics Co., Ltd. and Shiseido Hong Kong Ltd. PPG announced that its board of directors has elected Vincent Morales to serve as Senior VP & CFO. Morales replaces Frank Sklarsky as CFO, who announced his retirement. Morales will report to Chairman & CEO Michael McGarry. He will also join PPG’s Executive & Operating Committees. Revlon, Inc. announced the appointment of Linda Wells to the new role of Chief Creative Officer. Wells will report to Fabian Garcia, President & CEO of Revlon. Gifford Morales
