INVENTORS’ CIRCLE Newest Patent Approvals Spray dispensing cup U.S. Patent No. 9,475,634 Prischak; Nicholas Joseph Nicholas Joseph Prischak, Erie, PA, patented a spray apparatus that has a container and a nozzle assembly. The nozzle assembly includes a cup member and a retention ring. The cup member has a central concave surface and a hole open to the central concave surface. A conduit extends downward below the hole and cooperates with the container to allow depression of the cup member from a first condition to a second condition to, in turn, pass product from the container out the hole. The retention ring has an inner portion secured to the container and an outer portion cooperating with the sidewall to resist upward movement of the sidewall of the cup member beyond the first condition. Antimicrobial Hand Soap with Carvacrol U.S. Patent No. 9,474,701 Hydromer, Inc. u Hydromer, Inc., Branchburg, NJ, patented an antimicrobial hand soap with carvacrol. The antimicrobial formulation contains carvacrol, 2-phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol and hexylene glycol. It also contains tea tree oil and/or lemongrass oil and sodium dodecyl sulfate. Liquid animal repellant containing oils of black pepper and capsicum U.S. Patent No. 9,526,253 Woodstream Corp. Woodstream Corp., Lititz, PA, patented a liquid animal repellant containing oils of black pepper and capsicum (peppers). The present invention provides a novel liquid animal repellent composition that is environmentally safe, non-toxic, long-lasting and efficacious against a wide of animals such as dogs, cats, raccoons, skunks, mice, rats, squirrels, chipmunks, deer, etc. A sprayable liquid animal repellant composition comprising: a) between about 0.05% and about 2% by weight of an essential oil component selected from the group consisting of the essential oil of black pepper, the essential oil of capsicum, and mixtures thereof; b) between about 0.1% and about 10% by weight of an oleoresin component selected from the group consisting of the oleoresin of black pepper, the oleoresin of capsicum, and mixtures thereof; c) an antioxidant in an amount sufficient to stabilize the oleoresin component and the essential oil component; d) an effective amount of an emulsifier and an adhesive; e) sufficient water so that the composition is sprayable, wherein the sprayable liquid animal repellant is free of lard and an oleoresin-solubilizing vegetable oil in an amount that fully solubilizes the oleoresin. 34 Spray March 2017
