Spray March 2017

2017 Directory ofContract Fillers SPRAY’s annual A-Z reference for finding filling partners both in the U.S. and internationally The past year has been, for the most part, a positive one for the contract filler industry, with a fair amount of plant openings and expansions, as well as a number of mergers and acquisitions. Below are comments provided by aerosol fillers from around the world, expanding on the year behind us and expectations for 2017. For a more detailed look at what fillers have been up to in 2016, turn to p. 13 for our featured Fillers Report. Fillers’ Feedback We enjoyed a strong 2016. Growth in automotive, pest control and specialty coatings leads the forecast for 2017 demand.—U.S. Northeast/ Mid-Atlantic 2016 was a good year for us, with many challenges overcome, such as the difficulties posed by the EU and a warehouse fire in the summer. However, there were some positives: we did achieve ISO certification and have had our most successful manufacturing year. In 2017, we look forward to more growth while investing in new buildings and new machinery.—UK For the 7th year in a row, year-over-year sales increased. We expect a 3–5% increase in sales in 2017. —U.S. Midwest 2016 was a good year. We expect 2017 to be a good year, also. As a challenge, we have rising prices due to the depreciation of the Mexican peso vs. the U.S. dollar.—Mexico 2016 was interesting, as chemical and raw material prices held pretty steady. Certain chemicals rose exorbitantly (i.e. d-limonene). Overall, we saw 2016 as a growth year.—U.S. Midwest As a consequence of the crises in Brazil, 2016 was one of the hardest times the filling industry has had, but fortunately, measures are being taken and we hope 2017 will be better and more opportunities will be presented.—Brazil We went through a big transition in 2016 to prepare for the future. Through a number of acquisitions and partnerships, the company has brought a diverse group of manufacturing skill sets all under one roof. This enables us to provide our customers with access to over 40,000 product formulations spanning over 10 categories.—U.S. West Coast 22 Spray March 2017
