“Precise Packaging has worked with our customers to lift that burden and provide full turn-key supply chain solutions.” In February of 2016, American Spraytech (AST), Branchburg, NJ, moved into its new Research & Innovation facility across the street from its headquarters, complete with formulation and stability labs, a testing salon and an interactive showroom. “In the summer of 2016, we also commissioned our brand new state-of-the-art, three-story, 35,000 sq. ft. production facility, which we’ve dubbed ‘The Annex,’” explained Manav Lalwani, AST Executive VP. “The Annex houses our fourth conventional aerosol line with room and plans to commission an additional line when needed. Along with the Annex, we expanded our propellant and alcohol tank farms, doubling our storage capacity. Our new line is also our fastest, and in combination with our existing lines, allows us to successfully support our customers from launch-sized runs through bigger on-going orders as their new products take root in the market. Between our four conventional aerosol lines and BOV line, our annual capacity now exceeds 75 million units on a two-shift basis, up 50%,”continued Lalwani. In addition to the new line, AST added shrink bundling and an in-line labeling capability on some of its lines. At the end of 2016, it was also granted Lalwani Formulated Solution’s upgraded facility.
