patented an aerosol dispenser made from materials
that can go into a single recycling stream. The
recyclable plastic aerosol dispenser also has a
single class of materials, as defined by the Society
of the Plastics Industry, and particularly may exclusively
comprise Class 1 materials with no flammable
product/propellant present.
Aqueous cleaning composition
U.S. Patent No. 9,920,284
S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc.
S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc., Racine WI, has patented an aqueous cleaning composition that may be suitable for use in cleaning hard
surfaces. It comprises an ionic liquid that is a polypropoxylated 2-(trialkylammonio) ethanol salt, an amino alcohol and a substantial
amount of water. The cleaning compositions may also include a disinfecting quaternary surfactant, a nonionic surfactant, such
as an ethoxylated alcohol and/or alkyl polyglycoside and/or a chelating agent, such as an aminopolycarboxylate chelating agent.
Skin care with retinoids
U.S. Patent No. 9,968,538
Avon Products, Inc.
Avon Products, Inc., Rye, NY, has patented a method to reduce fine lines and/or wrinkles in human skin. It is comprised of, in any
order, the steps of topically applying to an area of the skin in need thereof, at least once daily, a first skin treatment composition
comprising, in a physiologically compatible vehicle, an effective amount of a retinoid for a first period of time comprising from six
to 15 days; topically applying to that skin, at least once daily, a second skin treatment composition that does not include an effective
amount of a retinoid for a second period of time comprising from six to 15 days, wherein said second skin treatment composition
comprises a moisturizer; and repeating steps for a number of times sufficient to reduce the appearance of fine lines and/or
wrinkles.
