Quadpack Industries SA
Quadpack’s Make-Up Division
offers responsibly-sourced wood
in its new cosmetic collection. Designed
and manufactured at Quadpack’s
wood factory, the range is
crafted from PEFC- and FSCcertified
wood, with a raw finish to
enhance its sensory appeal. Each
item can be stained, lacquered,
polished or treated with a host of
decorative techniques. Included
in the range is a liquid foundation
bottle with pump which features a
wooden cap.
Spectra Packaging
Spectra Packaging now offers 10% PCR (postconsumer
recycled) material to all of its HDPE
and PET products made at its UK-based converters
purpose-built manufacturing plant. Called
PCR10, it is available at no extra cost to new
or existing customers. The move will be automatic,
unless customers opt out. Customers can
conversely require 100% PCR if desired. PCR
plastic is most commonly sourced from milk
containers and drink bottles, which are ground,
washed, dried and pelletized. Spectra has vowed
to source the PCR from the UK whenever possible
to reduce the company’s carbon footprint.
Moreover, Spectra is able to trace and track the
recycled materials by working closely with suppliers.
Spectra recently joined Operation Clean
Sweep, an environmental initiative endorsed by
the British Plastics Federation to help ensure
plastic pellets are contained on-site and do not
end up in waterways. SPRAY
