A Foggy Day in London Town
Niche brand Histoire Olfactive Collective (HOC) has launched
a set of unisex perfumes. The collection includes three scents:
London City 11:00 AM, London City 5:00 PM and London City
9:00 PM.
Firmenich’s master perfumer Vincent Schaller created the line’s
three scents, which evoke the emotions, discoveries and experiences
elicited by walks through London
throughout the day. For instance,
the 11:00 AM scent combines dewy
roses and the earthiness of Portobello
mushrooms while 9:00 PM is a
heady and sophisticated mix of
subway, black ties and juniper.
The scents are available in 100mL sizes. Company founder Masha
Zanier was inspired by the “behind the scenes” workers of the
fashion world. HOC actually means “nose” in Russian, explained
Zanier, who is of Russian and Georgian descent.
Superga Beauty (formerly BPS and Manifesto Factory) brought
the fragrance to market. Thierry De Baschmakoff of DB (De
Baschmakoff) helped to design the fragrance packaging. The flacon,
provided by Coverpla, is cubic and is fitted with a see-through label
by Gouzy. Aptar/Coverpla designed the pump, and the accessories,
magnetic caps and magnetic wooden boxes were provided by Start,
Manifesto Chine and Ipack. The caps help tell the story of each
fragrance in a circular pattern.
