Bumble and bumble’s popular Thickening
Dryspun Texture Spray is now available in a
larger 8.2-oz size. It works to texturize hair by
adding airy volume, but with a translucent dry
finish. The spray combines light hold
copolymers, hydrolyzed wheat protein
for nourishment and zeoloite and silk

Frizz Dismiss line with new formulas that are designed

Dismiss Anti-Static Oil Mist harnesses the power of
Babassu oil to instantly and weightlessly smooth flyaways
and static. It is meant for mild frizz and can be applied to
wet or dry hair.

Biolage has given its products
an updated look and
added two new frizz-beating stylers to its line: Biolage AirDry Glotion
and Biolage BlowDry Glotion. These leave-in
hair lotions provide either a glossy, light hold
finish with AirDry Glotion, or a heat-activated
medium-hold, smooth style with Biolage BlowDry
Glotion. Both products are free of mineral oil,
parabens and artificial colors.
Beachwaver Company’s Great Barrier Heat
Protectant Hairspray is infused with the company’s
HIx Alpha Bond Multipliers and Thermal
Defense System, which work together to strengthen
and create a protective barrier against heat and
environmental factors. The spray is designed for all
hair types and can be applied to damp or dry hair.
It can also be used after styling to de-frizz and provide a flexible
hold. Great Barrier hair spray features a sweetly scented medley of
Caribbean coconut, fresh Mandarin orange and Hawaiian sugar
cane. The 8.3-oz. can is made by Montebello. Beachwaver notes
all of its products are free of “negative energy,” as well as
parabens, formaldehyde, sulfates, mineral oil, phthalates,
benzophenone and cruelty.

Controlled curls can be a challenge, and new products
have debuted to meet the diverse needs of curly hair, from frizz to
hair thickness.
Called a “gleamy, dreamy” finishing spray, Bumble
and bumble’s Luminous Oil Spray is a weightless,
silicone-free moisturizing spray that enhances curl integrity,
fights frizz and adds shine. This 2.4-oz. spray also
provides heat and sun protection. Bumble and bumble’s
oil blend combines cupuacu butter and oils such as Babassu
and Pracaxi. It is free from parabens, phthalates,
mineral oil and formaldehyde. The spray’s subtle scent
can also double as a hair fragrance.
Suave Professionals recently launched the Natural
Shea Butter & Pure Coconut Oil collection. It is
designed for “natural hair” to provide long-lasting shine and
touchable softness for women with wavy, curly and coily hair. The
copper-hued collection includes pumped and sprayed products
such as a Sulfate-free Cleansing Shampoo, 16.5-oz. Moisturizing
Curl Conditioner, 12-oz. Curl Defining Cream, 4.75-oz. Define
& Shine Serum Gel and 10-oz. Cream Detangler Spray. It is also
available is a 13.5-oz. Nourish & Strengthen Leave-in
Conditioner housed in a tub.
Modern Minerals’ (Mo Mi) Texture Mist is a 100g
spray that creates textured, bouncy waves. It harnesses
the powers of sea salt from the Pacific Ocean
and rose quartz. Designed to be applied to damp
hair, the product is also a concoction of organic aloe
vera, grape seed extract and an essential oil blend,
Lotus Wei blend (lavender, chamomile, rose neroli,
lotus) and fermented radish root. Mo Mi Texture
mist should be scrunched into hair or twisted up in
hair and then diffused, blow dried or air dried, the
company said.
What’s in a name?
