Czech Republic.
Harcros Chemicals Inc. will now exclusively distribute Colonial
Chemical, Inc.’s personal care and HI&I specialty products in
Florida. Harcros already distributes in Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho,
Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma,
South Dakota and Texas for Colonial.
Easyfairs has acquired a majority stake in Milan-based packaging exhibition
Packaging Première, set for May 26–28, 2020 in Milan, for
an undisclosed sum. Packaging Première initially launched in 2017
and will give Easyfairs a presence in the Italian market. Easyfairs’ UK
& Global team will work in partnership with Packaging Première’s
existing management team.
Azelis has acquired specialty chemicals and food ingredients distributor
Orkila for an undisclosed sum, becoming a specialty chemical
distributor in Africa and the Middle East. Headquartered in Beirut,
Lebanon, Orkila group has offices in 13 countries, more than 220
employees and is active in more than 30 countries. It distributes
chemicals in markets such as personal care, home care, pharmaceuticals,
food, agrochemicals, animal nutrition, paints and construction,
oilfield, plastic additives and water treatment.
Scott’s Liquid Gold (SLG) has agreed to sell
its Denver manufacturing operation to Elevation
Labs for $0.5 million to help streamline
the company’s operational costs. Elevation
will assume SLG’s remaining facilities and
corporate office lease at the site. The companies
have also entered into a manufacturing
and supply agreement through mid-2020,
under which the Denver facility will manufacture
SLG’s Neoteric Cosmetic products such
as Alpha Skin Care and Prell shampoo until
they have transitioned to other manufacturing
sites. Elevation said it intends to retain
SLG’s workforce. The transaction is expected
to close on Mar. 1.
Quadpack is now the “Preferred Global Cosmetics Packaging Partner”
in Sulapac’s partner program, which combines Sulapac’s sustainable
microplastic-free material solutions with Quadpack’s beauty
packaging product expertise. The partnership’s financial terms were
not revealed, however, it will include synergy between Quadpack’s
fiber injection, bi-injection and bi-injection blow molding technologies
and Sulapac’s microplastic-free packaging. The initial result of
the partnership will be the Sulapac Nordic Collection set to launch
