Product dispensing system
U.S. Patent No. 9,833,533
S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc.
S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc., Racine, WI, patented a product
dispensing system that includes housing that features a
sidewall with at least one orifice and at least one protrusion
in alignment with the orifice. An exterior surface of
the protrusion provides visual contrast in color, texture or
surface finish that differs from that of the exterior surface
of the sidewall adjacent to the orifice. The product dispensing
system is not limited to aerosol containers of the type
specifically shown. Further, the product dispensing system
may be modified to work with any type of aerosol or nonaerosol
container.

Stabilized, sprayable emulsion for skin conditions
U.S. Patent No. 9,700,510
Mission Pharmacal Co.
Mission Pharmacal Co., San Antonio, TX, patented a sprayable emulsion that can be used in the treatment of various skin conditions.
The emulsion includes a hydrofluoro-based propellant, an emulsification system, an oil phase, a water phase and active agent
particles. Further, the emulsification system includes at least one nonionic emulsifier. The emulsion has a viscosity ranging from
about 500 centipoise to about 10,000 centipoise and a hydrophilic to lipophilic balance (HLB) value of from about two to about
12. The present inventors have found that by selectively controlling the nature of the emulsification system and the viscosity of the
emulsion, the active agent particles resist settling such that a substantially homogeneous distribution of the active agent particles is
maintained and can be evenly sprayed onto a surface without running once applied.
