lululemon launches athleteinspired
Selfcare line
Athletic apparel company lululemon athletica inc. has
unveiled a line of personal care products designed to
meet athletes’ needs. After two years of R&D and pilot testing,
lululemon launched the unisex Selfcare line consisting of five
products that address the transition
from sweaty skin and hair to everyday
life. Most of the products are available
in a full size and smaller gym size.
“Lululemon has always been in the
work of creating solutions for sweaty
problems and our Selfcare line is an
extension of that approach,” said
Sun Choe, Chief Product Officer,
lululemon.
“Like our apparel, lululemon Selfcare
has been designed with function
at its core and created to support users
both pre- and post-workout.”
Lululemon’s Selfcare line comprises the aerosol No-Show Dry
Shampoo (2.4oz and 8.3oz), aerosol Anti-Stink Deodorant in
Aloe Lotus scent (2.4oz and 4.2oz) and Black Pepper Sandalwood
scent (2.4oz and 4.2oz), Sweat Reset Face Moisturizer (0.9oz. and
1.6oz.) and Basic Balm. The moisturizer features a lockable pump
to prevent spillage while in transport or in the locker room. The
deodorants deliver a cooling sensation in addition to odor-fighting
natural ingredients.
The products will be sold online at lululemon.com, in 50 lululemon
stores, at select studio partners in North America and on
Sephora.com. Sephora has also given the Selfcare line the “Clean at
Sephora seal,” to indicate the products are free sulfates, parabens
and phthalates. Spray
