Personal care ingredients
from NYSCC Suppliers’ Day
The New York Society of Cosmetic
Chemists (NYSCC) 38th Annual
Suppliers’ Day had a successful
debut at its new location, the Jacob K.
Javits Convention Center in New York on
May 2–3. The 8,752 attendees came from
27 countries, making the 2017 Suppliers’
Day the largest event to date.
In addition to an exhibitor floor that
featured 435 exhibiting companies, a
French Pavilion and Innovations Alley,
Suppliers’ Day also boasted new educational
programming and special events.
The Future Chemists Workshops hosted
48 students from 11 universities who
competed in mini-challenges for the best
formulation. Discover Sustainability
highlighted the strides that are being made
to becoming a more “Green” industry on a
global scale. The Digital Age of Beauty was
a two-day educational forum that provided
timely information and demonstrations
on key strategies and technologies that
are driving new product development and
speed to market.
NYSCC Suppliers’ Day 2018 will take
place May 15-16, again at the Javits Center.

ingredients offered at this year’s Suppliers’
Day suitable for various spray and pump
applications:
AAK
Lipex SheaLight is a shea butter-based
ester that combines high functionality
in personal care formulations with light
feel and a good safety and sustainability
profile. This makes it a suitable starting
point for creating lighter, sustainable formulations
for body lotions and facial care
products, as well as numerous applications
in hair care.
Lipex SheaClear is a new liquid shea
oil that is completely clear at 20°C. Originating
from the African savannah, it is
processed to deliver clarity while maintaining
a high level (6–8%) of functional
unsaponifiables. The physical and sensory
attributes of Lipex SheaClear make it a
suitable ingredient for skin, hair and face
oils where absolute clarity and low color is
desired. Due to the low melting point, it is
also suitable for cold processed emulsions.
Chemyunion
Four launches from Chemyunion include
SkinBlitz, a new active that reduces the
permeation of pollutants and provides
DNA protection while avoiding skin hyperpigmentation.
Biolumitá works synergistically
with lightening agents to improve
the lightening effects on face, axilla and

The Endifoam FB Series is a family of
foaming agents and foam boosters that
are based on a patented mixture of vegetable
carbohydrates. They are produced
through the hydrolysis of corn starch and
combined with high-performing, mild
surfactants in ratios optimized for peak
performance.
The products are highly concentrated,
aqueous multi-purpose additives for boosting
foam volume and stability, adding
lubricity and improving mildness and
cleansing. Endifoam foam boosters are
easily incorporated into cleansing formulations
at any mixing temperature.
Endicare DP-530S (INCI: Polyethyloxazoline)
is an easy-to-use alternative to
PVP (Polyvinyl pyrrolidone) or PVOH
(Polyvinyl Alcohol) in both hairsprays
and high clarity hair gels. It has enhanced
curl retention and thermal stability; good
humidity resistance; is easily processed in
single phase, hot or cold systems; effective
for clear systems; and suitable for single
phase, cold process and clear systems. Also
in the series are Endifoam FB-820 (INCI:
Hydrolyzed Corn Starch and Cocamidopropyl
Betaine); Endifoam FB-830 (INCI:
Hydrolyzed Corn Starch and Cocamidopropyl
