INVENTORS’ CIRCLE Newest Patent Approvals Liquid Spray System U.S. Patent No. 9,457,952 Seymour of Sycamore Seymour of Sycamore, Sycamore, IL, patented a spray system for dispensing a homogenous mixture of a liquid formulation and propellant as an atomized aerosol where a disposable container containing a liquid base is used alone or secured within a rigid container and is charged through a fitting in fluid communication with the interior of the disposable container using a detachable pressurized charge can containing a propellant compatible with the liquid base. Preferably the liquid formulation is a paint base that can be tinted at the point of sale before charging with the charge can. u Method for enhancing the growth and fullness of hair US Patent No. 9,408,795 Avon Products, Inc. Avon Products, Inc., Suffern, NY, patented a method for promoting growth of keratin fibers by topically applying a composition that has a topically acceptable vehicle and a fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR 1)-inhibiting amount of cis-6-nonenol, at least once daily, for a period of at least one week, wherein the transition of the keratin fiber follicles from the anagen phase to the catagen phase is delayed. FGFR1 inhibitors have been identified as useful for promoting the retention and/or growth of keratin fibers, such as hair of the scalp, hair of the face (moustache, beard, etc.), eyebrows, eyelashes and the like. The FGFR1 inhibitors may be formulated in effective amounts in a variety of cosmetic and personal care products. Method for the treatment of skin U.S. Patent No. 9,408,786 Biopelle, Inc. Biopelle, Inc., Ferndale, MI, patented a composition for the treatment of skin that comprises a non-emulsified, aqueous suspension of retinol. The composition may further include at least one protein species and some proteins used in the composition include collagen and elastin.
