Last issue puzzle answer
Who is the murderer? Who is the victim?
ANSWER:
1. Kenny is not the murderer, because he is the brother of the murderer.
2. Ted can’t be the murderer because since he ran a marathon the day before; the killer
recently had his leg amputated and wouldn’t be running a marathon of that length that soon
afterwards.
3. Brett is not the murderer if he just met Kenny, since Kenny and the murderer grew up
together.
4. This leaves Jesse and Skip.
Since Jesse is still alive (he wants to install Brett’s new heating/cooling system next week—present
tense), he must be the killer. Skip also didn’t grow up with Kenny. It has been determined that
Kenny, Ted and Jesse are all alive. Brett must also be alive since Jesse plans to install Brett’s new
heating/cooling system next week.
This means Jesse killed Skip!
