Beckett’s new Connected Tank Gauge
R.W. Beckett Corp. has debuted the BeckettLink
Connected Tank Gauge, for dealers and users to continuously
monitor fuel tank levels from a smart phone,
tablet or other connected device to help schedule deliveries
in real-time. The system consists of a tank gauge
that ultrasonically measures the fuel level, and a Wi-Fi
enabled ‘hub’ to transmit info. Alerts for low tank level,
battery life, low indoor
temperature and
maintenance issues
can be programmed.
BeckettLink can be
used in combination
with the Beckett
Dealer Dashboard to
track customers’ fuel levels and the BeckettLink my-
Technician app for easy installation. Visit beckettcorp.

General Filters, offers a compact
electrode steam model with easy
installation and maintenance. It can
accommodate either 115 or 230V
installation, has one cylinder to accommodate
regular and low water
conductivity, is more portable for
a contractor, has spark-plug style
cylinder wire connectors, requires
just a single-screw cover release
and includes a mounting kit and straps. The unit also
incorporates the new GFX4 humidistat, which now
controls the furnace blower motor. General Filters has

Eurofuel/NORA conference on the
future of liquid fuels for heating
The National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA)
and Eurofuel (European Heating Oil Association) will
host a virtual conference on liquid heating fuels in a
carbon constrained world.
The Conference will be hosted on four consecutive
Wednesdays in August and September with each
session being approximately 3 hours. The sessions
will begin at 9 a.m. Daylight Savings Time U.S. and
3 p.m. in Europe
(UTC+1).
August 19 will
review the policy
actions being
taken in the U.S.
and Europe including: How the goals of decarbonization
will affect the liquid fuels industry and how other
aspects of the industry from the producers of fuels to
end users of the fuel will respond. Additionally, the visions
for industries in both countries will be reviewed.
August 26 will focus on actions to respond to carbon
reduction activities. The views: electricity is the solution
to everything; how to subsidize conversions to
heat pumps; tax schemes to reward or punish energy
based on its carbon intensity and incentives for improvements
will be examined.
September 2 will focus on the technical changes
empowering the liquid heating fuels industry to move
forward. Discussions of biodiesel and renewable diesel
will examine supply and which fuel will likely be the
predominant fuel of the future as well as technical
issues associated with each.
September 9 will focus on the potential design and
regulatory limits of using low-carbon fuels and what
are the world’s leading manufacturers doing to ensure
that liquid fuel heating equipment will participate in
that future? The day will conclude with the issuance
of a multi-year study from NORA evaluating efficiency
gains from the replacement of older equipment
with high performing new equipment in homes in the
United States.
Access to the conference will be through Eastern Energy
Expo On Demand at EasternEnergyExpo.com
